What does everyone think about the Mopar OEM compressor? Any good or piece of junk?

Don't know anything about it. Probably just a re-brand of another manufacturer's product.

That being said, I love how it fits into that location on the tailgate.

My guess is that it is too small for larger tires. I have nothing to back up my assumption though.

That's worse than the ARB single which is 3.08CFM @ 0 PSI and 2.34CFM at 29 PSI.

That seems pretty weak. I'll find out how this works soon. Going to Moab end of this week with a friend who just got a JLUR 392 with the built in compressor.

My portable 12v compressor pushes 160L/min. While the form factor is nice, a 60% reduction in air flow makes it worthless.

Maybe it's there to help CUVs at the mall?

I believe the actual compressor is mounted in the spare tire mount. Just the controls are inside. I can't find an actual picture, but that is the way this article explains it:

Both Air Mattress and Beach balls can be important though...

Anyone done a comparison of the Mopar factory installed compressor... vs... say my Ryobi 18v one+ portable? Maybe... dueling compressors @ noon on a 35" from zero... while adhering to duty cycles?

Right before Christmas 2023, I ordered this but didn't notice the "NOTICE" that is was for Pre-Orders and was not available for shipment for at least the end of January/February. Not sure if it ever became officially sold from Mopar...I was put on a wait list but then cancelled.

BUT 1 tidbit of info I did find out was that the Compressor is mounted on the exterior and tucked behind the Spare Tire Carrier and weighs 20Lbs.
