So lately i've been really missing my jeep. Between the exploding clutch and the bubbling paint I sold it because I just couldn't deal with it all at the time.
Now i'm thinking of maybe getting another one. But I don't like the new improvements of the '24. That grille-oy!
I don't want the extra large screen because it took away the air vents and I don't want the leather dash.

Weird I see you can't order a rubicon with leather seats anymore?? You have to get the X?
I'm catching up on the threads so I may have missed a lot of info. I would love a '23 recon pkg.

I hear ya. I couldn’t care less about that new grill. Makes it look like a Jeep Renegade. I think folks that have a Renegade wished they had a Wrangler of any flavor.

JUST my opinion

they have a "performance grill" that looks better but you can also swap in the older grills as they are already swaping the 24 grills into the earlier M.Y. jeeps. also the center two vents are now below the screen. much cleaner look IMO. Personally i think the 24 is worth it alone with the power seat with lumbar support. :D and you can still find nicely equipped 23's on the lot but you will pay more for them

why don't you buy 23 off the lot, there might be a little digging neccessary but you can probably find exactly what you want, and a good chance of getting a deal.

Buy a 2023 - that's what I did. Traded my Sahara with Rubicon takeoffs for a Rubicon with matching options (cold weather, towing, leather). That red dash has really grown on me - I don't miss the leather Sahara dash at all!

As for taking away the vents, no they did not. They are now retangular and under the new screen. I could live with the grill now that I know it's completely interchangeable but that screen...it's just too much.

Good luck with your search! I'll bet a 2023 that meets your needs is out there somewhere. Good time to find one before they're all gone, too.

I've been looking and there doesn't seem to be one that has everything I had in mine.
I suppose I could buy one used.

If you are looking for a Rubicon, IMO it's worth getting the 2024 to get the full floating axle in the rear or step down to the Willys that now comes with a rear locker. The antenna in the windshield sucks and the new grill and power seats are meh, but the Uconnect 5, improved speaker phone, side curtain airbags and the other things I listed at the start make the 2024 a nice option.

I am considering that. Some of the upgrades are ok but that big screen I’m not a fan of.
and I would swap out the grille for the old one.
I don’t like the power seats. I really wish there Was an option to get the old manual seats.
I don’t see the tow package with the aux switches so I assume that’s standard now?

I agree that the big screen is too much. Nothing wrong with the square 8.4.
