I have been having some clutch issues ever since my accident about a year ago. I’ve taken it to the dealership and they said it was a faulty clutch position sensor. More recently the clutch has been acting weird in first gear with almost a slip feeling in the top of the pedal only sometimes. I’ve tried to see if anything was mechanically messed up and discovered the spring in this diagram is completely missing. Not a recent thing and I imagine it was just not put back on from the dealership or the body shop that put my Jeep back together. In any case does anyone know if I can order just that spring? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also that spring won’t impact slipping or any real clutch issues. Many of us removed it for better pedal feel. The only side affect if noticed is you can trip the clutch sensor when hitting bumps which will cancel cruise control.

Do you ever get the clutch position sensor error as well? It sets off the service stop start light and will not reset until I turn the vehicle off and on again.

No I’ve never gotten that error. Fwiw There are (at least) 2 sensors - one at the top and one at the bottom.
