Well just a quick FYI…

I disconnected the batteries ( both negatives ) for approx 30 mins and reconnected and still randomly not showing total odometer miles and still randomly displaying press clutch message to start so will have to go to the local dealer here when my schedule allows to tell the the TSB number to see if they can address

You ever get this figured out?

I'm testing the SBM theory on mine by leaving it disconnected. It's only been a few days, but all the glitches have disappeared. I was under the mistaken impression you had to leave it plugged in to retain any changes you make on the computer, but apparently that isn't the case.

Major CANBUS problems is what ultimately points to the star connector or something more nuanced, causing the loss of major systems, wipers turning on despite being off, the dash lighting up like a Christmas tree, and the Jeep spitting out dozens of codes. I don't have this. My issues are limited to settings and configuration of the EVIC itself. Display items such as the Clutch to Start, the odometer vanishing, corner items changing or disappearing, and the menus being all screwed up when I go to correct them are all I've experienced.

If I can remain glitch-free for at least an entire week, I'm pretty confident the SBM is my issue.

Mine did the same thing for a long time plus all the other glitches went to dealership for patch or whatever it's called and so far so good

Did you have to jump through any hoops or do a diagnostic to get it done or did you just ask for the flash?

The Security Bypass Module that comes with a FlashCal or Tazer to allow changing values in the computer. I don't know if it's the culprit or is even something that actually screws up the EVIC to begin with. I'm just going through a process of elimination at this point and others have speculated it possibly being the issue.

If the glitches appear again, I'll do the EVIC flash that @Dale's Jeep mentioned.

I removed the bypass module I use with JSCAN along with the stop/start eliminator and it had the same malfunction maybe your the lucky one
