I ordered a JLUR with manual transmission. I have had it for about two and a half months. Around 1000 miles the clutch started to creak when pressing in or letting out engine started or not after the engine was driven for a few minutes would not do it if cold from sitting over night. I took it to dealership said it was a spring in the pedal tried to grease made it worse cleaning didnā€™t help the opened a case with Jeep who told them to replace entire pedal assembly that had it for 3 days and still does it they have tried 3 times to fix it to no avail have to get Jeeps recommendation again I am waiting to hear back. Anyone else have this issue?

Mine just started creaking after 5k miles. I haven't noticed after it sitting over night. Will check that out tomorrow. For now, I will put up with it until there's a known fix. Can't afford to have it in the shop. Keep me updated please. Best of luck!

I am sorry I must have mis spoken it doesnā€™t do it when itā€™s cold like if it sits overt night but as soon as it warms up from driving s few minutes it will start creaking.

I understood you. I just haven't paid attention on my first drive in the mornings to see if it does or doesn't; I am too excited to get going.

The dealer is talking to Jeep about the next fix yes itā€™s very annoying these things cost a kidney the least it can do is not make noise. Itā€™s my Feeling itā€™s something in the clutch assembly or the slave and master cylinder. To change the pedals they had to drain the cooling system AC system break system take one of the clutch cylinders off not sure which one remove the steering wheel airbag and take the whole damn dashboard apart. Luckily I canā€™t see any issues from taking all those apart and put it back together but it took them 3 days to switch out the pedal assembly. Iā€™ll keep updating and hopefully a fix will come soon itā€™s been almost a month and half I also have a transmission issue where second gear catches from 1st to 2nd but I drove an identical one they actually ordered me the wrong color but didnā€™t catch it until a month I like the wrong color better so i took that one anyway it was build over a month after mine and has exact same trans issue it looks like a mfg defect but until it causes an mechanical issue or more people have it is the dealers view the trans is operating as designed so I am just getting used to it kind of sucks because the rest of the trans is great vs a jk.

I was in the car for 30 minutes this morning on the way to work. I did not hear any creaking. It was a bit cool. Let's see how it does on the way home in the heat.

Mine is definitely louder in the engine compartment. After driving home shutdown the engine open the hood and pump the clutch with windows down that the best way to hear it.

I don't think mine creaks, but I definitely feel some gripping in the actual pedal itself a lot of times. To explain it, I would say it feels like a "creak" sounds.... if that makes any sense. I'll have to listen for actual audible creaking though.

Mine started doing this at 2k, as well. Mine is definitely the spring under the dash. Lubricating it will attract dirt and dust and make the issue worse. Iā€™m waiting to see if it will resolve itself through break-in or if it gets worse.

So my 2018 JL was fine at the start. Then a rubbling feeling when pressing the clutch pedal. I can feel this also in the break pedal as I hold it in while engaging the clutch. Like they are rubbing in the assembly. The pedal also is creaking and squeaking as its depressed and released. I have taken it to my dealer for my radio which needed an update but that has also recurred and I have to address that again!

Good morning TheWingman and OriginalWookienuts,
We understand how this noise could be frustrating on a new Wrangler and your desires to have it addressed. I had this issue as well but it went away on its own, probably got broken in. It is just a spring after all.
