Mickey Thompson Sidewall Issues

I had a tire with the sidewall that was completely folded over against a boulder last week that didn't look like it would not have survived, but it did and with no tears/cuts.

One thing I like about my Method Beadlocks and the Mickeys, they don't leak air.

37" Mickey Thompson Baja Boss MT's, usually run 12psi on the trail. I daily drive and when I do wheel, it can get pretty harsh. No issues so far other than a screw i picked up on one.

I bought them from Ryan at Beadlock Marketplace and he is out of CO, and said that they all run the Baja Boss AT's on their daily drivers and love that for them, but wouldn't put them on the trail. It sounds like some of the other forum users on here have had other experiences.

I’m convinced given the opportunity I can wreck any tire manufacturers shit. Bad driving. Slide off a wet rock into a sharp rock. Miss a sharp tree root “camouflaged” on the side of the trail. Etc.

Yep, can happen to anyone and IME WET pointy rocks and roots are the most likely to cut any sidewall.

when I bought my first of mickey t's DT was good about lowering the certificate price (that was Feb of 2024) when I bought my 37's in oct of 25 they would not budge on the certificates. They did discount the tires but they would not lower the price of the certificates and when I declined they had no issues writing up the receipt and checking me out. some day I will stop in and see if they want to work a deal on the certificates again but it was a no go when I bought the tires so probably a no go now.

X2 therefore did not buy the warranty.

You're most likely aware, but it's pretty simple to get Discount Tire to drop that down significantly. Just keep saying no worked for me until they got down to covering all five for the price of two.

Yea I will see if they can do anything to lower it when I go get my 37s for sure.

5 37 BBATs installed with certs for $2500 out the door being installed Saturday. They price matched the NR buy 4 get one deal, was gonna be like $2650 and ended up at 2500otd not bad.

My youngest son broke up with a girlfriend about 8 years ago and he is telling me the story. He said, at the end, never break up with a girl when you are driving and four hours from her house. He said he had to listen to her cry and pout for hours.........

That is why there are volume control on radios and/or headsets just for those very situations so you can turn up the volume and attenuate ambient unwanted noises and nuances.

As in Shermans Pass that runs over the mountains from California and dumps out over by Death Valley? If so that is cool. I have motorcycled and taken a convertible Mustang over that. I have thought for a while that it would be a fun place to take the Jeep to.

Tell her Hbay, and tell her that her birthday present is your present and the first tank of fuel in the Jeep. LOL. make her eyes roll.
