So is the idea that you are using the platform, the mounted ball and the arm to relocate the Course mount?

It works AMAZING! I'm going to get one for my wife's Rubicon and IF my 392 ever shows up one for it also. I'm using it in my GMC Denali Yukon and love it.

Did you use the additional magnets that come with the mount or just the the built in magsafe magnets?

I used the 67 designs carbon fiber magsafe holder and some shrink tubing to make my own

I actually use these carbon fiber cases and have for years, they are wicked slim or protecting and then they have a beefier one that also works nicely.
