Here’s my story and I’ve been here before. I have a 2024 M4 competition convertible. It’s fantastic. I daily a Sierra Denali. I also have two kids and coach multiple sports. The M4 sits when I need to tote them both. I am considering getting a stick rubicon X or a 392. Manual is something I think I need because it adds to the fun factor. Also. I can get into the new rubicon for 20k less. I do still owe on the bmw. Would be a MASSIVE car payment reduction.

I just don’t want to miss the bmw. I can ways get another one some day. And I know I won’t get the 523 hp launch I have now. I’ve come to grips haha.

I’ve had a Sahara with a manual and a JT Mojave. Both of those were my only car. This would be my second car.

anyone else do similar?

Only you can really decide if you will be happy going back to the Jeep.

That said thanks for specifying Sierra Denali rather than every other person that just calls anything a Denali even though its just the trim level.

Ha! Just wanted to specify full size truck and higher trim bc it plays into things.

Toy? Get something older built with a V8 swapped in. If you can swing $40k you can get some kick-ass stuff.

It's been years, but I don't miss my bimmer. I daily a 2500 ZR2, wife dailies the JL, and I have a stretched LJ on tons and 40s for my toy.

I loved the BMW, but really it just made me drive faster than I needed to on road. I enjoyed the track days, but not as much as the rock-crawling trips.

Make sure you drive a manual and an automatic back to back.

I've always loved driving manuals, but I would not buy a manual JL again.
That’s the benefit of owning both. For a second car I’d be good with it.

Then I'd recommend the 392 (or bigger) so you can scratch the itch and you'll be more likely to hold onto it for longer.

I had an RS-5 and an AMG GLC at the same time as the manual JLUR. That didn't somehow make the manual in the Wrangler any better, but maybe your experience will be different.

Better than being stuck with the cluster fuck that is the JL manual.

As a wise man once said: Better than being stuck with the cluster fuck that is the JL manual.
