recently brought in to the dealer for warranty "fix" with the TSB to re-torque ball joint to get rid of the "clicking" noise when turning at low speeds. they told me they went through and. just tightened up "everything under there", and the clicking noise was fixed.

after that, the steering started to feel loose, sloppy, lots of dead space, and seeming like the steering wheel was constantly off center. then the steering wheel wobble (not death wobble, just steering wheel) started.

finally checked the steering components, and found thee track bar bolts just beyond finger-tight, and not even close to torque values - and obviously pretty loose. after tightening that and checking all other torques, steering seems back to normal again.

Wow! I'd be a little pissed off at that one. By the way, I am familiar with that dealership. I had issues with them in the past. You're better off coming here to Vegas or going up to Provo or SLC if you want better service from a dealer. Sometimes it's just better off doing it yourself sometimes if you have a set of torque wrenches, etc.

when I can, I do go to Vegas to do service/warranty work. some non-standard things I can do myself, but those ball joints are tough to get to without lifting each corner and removing the tires, and I thought a quick (!! ended up being 2 hours!!) swing by the dealership to address that would have worked out... I also want to get things documented on their end, just in case...

but yes, generally a visit there leads to something else that needs to be done... they add too much oil, don't replace filters when they say they did, re-torquing stuff they worked on...
