Anyone have the issue where you have to have the door hinges and the body side hinges replaced?

I noticed a rattle in the door about 1k miles ago and then noticed the paint in the door jamb has wear marks from the door shifting slightly while driving.

Was told bad hinges. You can grab the open door and wiggle it up and down just a bit. It’s even chipping the hinge paint. Looks like they were made out of spec somehow.

There’s no way to adjust the play so I need a dealer with a body shop to fix. Closest decent one is 2 hours away

again anyone have anything like this? Shop said first they’ve seen on the JL at their shop.

First one they've seen, since the last one. How is the paint around the hinge? Bubbly?

The paint is fine. Minus the hinge chipping some from the hinge. I have 4500 miles. Only got few months ago

The paint bubbling isn’t the issue.

The hinges where the door mount to the body are loose letting the door shift a little while hitting bumps

My wife’s 2020 JLU Sahara had doors that were crooked, but not moving. The body shop at the Jeep dealership had to fix it. Bad QA. They did it quickly, with a loaner, and they are perfectly fine now.

This is the issues I’m getting where it is wearing off the paint and rattling. The door hinges/pin have a decent amount of play in it and rattle constantly when driving. You can grab the door when open and rock it up in down in the hinge.

Here’s a short vid of the clunk.

And this is where my rear gate doesn’t sit flush by a good amount at the top corner above the handle. I get a rattle here too. There’s no way to adjust to get it to stop or sit flush. All my doors also close fine. But yet they all rattle.

You adjust it by removing the hinges, I don't recommend you try it.

I’ve adjusted as much as you can. The hinge holes for the door pins are too big causing the door to move.
