No, because there was (or shouldn’t have been) any expectation that the vehicle would be built before 12/16. If one ordered in early October and come late November was thinking, “man I’ve been waiting for 8 weeks & this still hasn’t been built” well that’s just ignorant.
No one is complaining about the first two months of waiting. It's ignorant to keep spitting that crap out like it means something. What many are complaining about is getting leapfrogged by newer orders. If a restaurant has a capacity of 50 people and you were the 10th person to make a reservation, wouldn't you be a bit peeved if someone walked in the door with no reservation and walked straight past you and sat down at a table? While there may be a logical explanation like different party sizes or the choice of table vs booth that explains some of the ones that went before you, once you stand in line and 40 more people go ahead of you, you would start to think that maybe the restaurant screwed up your reservation. OH AND THEN, YOU GO TO THE HOSTESS AND SHE SAYS SHE DOESN'T KNOW WHY THEY WENT BEFORE YOU. YOU'LL GET A TABLE WHEN YOU GET ONE. Three hours later you still keep being told soon but it never seems like you're going to get your table.

Maybe the walk in gave a large tip. Same thing might apply. After being told my Jeep would be here in 2-3 weeks they called and said there was a “glitch” in the system and they didn’t get the allocation. Obviously they got a better price and sold it! Is your dealer an honest one or shady like that one?(bought elsewhere)

Did they really sell yours to someone else? That's messed up! As far as I know mine has never shipped. Maybe they did sell it to someone else and just haven't told me.

I can’t prove it but after being told 2-3 weeks and 2 weeks later get the “GLITCH” BS— ya think they just might have got a better offer???

Its the way of the new world. Things will never be the same. Some get lucky but most have to wait and wait and wait. My 21 took 6 months to arrive!!!.... How bad do you want one is the question?..

I'm often occupied, by many things, often at the same time
Sure no one has really been waiting more than two months from production but it still doesn't explain why lots of orders placed in December and January were shipped before orders placed in October and November. In my case, if you account for the Christmas factory closure, mine was built in the first two weeks of production and it's sat there for 7 weeks waiting to ship. Meanwhile many built after mine have shipped to the same area that mine is supposed to be going. If they told me the reason and assured me that it would eventually be delivered I would be fine with waiting.

We're in crazy times right now but with no information I'm beginning to think they lost it and have no idea it's sitting there waiting to ship. I'm sure there are many logical reasons. They would probably have less pissed off people if they would just be honest about it. If they had any real competition at all I'm sure people wouldn't put up with their BS. This forum and every Wrangler forum I go to is full of people drooling over Broncos. If Ford hadn't botched their launch so badly Jeep would probably be in a bit of trouble. They better hope they can get their shit together before Ford gets theirs together.
As someone that had an early Bronco reservation and early order, Jeep does not have to worry about timing of production and shipping. If you understand what's happening to Ford, you can understand what is happening with Jeep, and you'll see that the impacts to new Jeep orders is significantly less than those of the Bronco.

Check out Bronco6g or Bronco Nation forums, and Ford's own media releases. They are suspending orders of 2022 Broncos starting March 7 because they cannot build and ship them. Do a Google search for Ford Bronco Dirt Mountain or Ice Mountain. Hundreds or thousands of Broncos sitting in parking lots waiting for a computer chip, built vehicles that had February ship dates pushed to May, waiting on a chip.

"Similar to actions taken on Maverick, Ford is announcing that the order banks for MY22 Broncos (except Raptor) will close" March 7. "New retail orders can be placed later this year when the MY23 order banks open later this year." -Bronco Nation

Relative to Ice Mountain, "Ford says there are a few thousand Broncos waiting, but vehicles are being updated and shipped daily. The goal is to have all of these updated within the next 90 days, pending chip availability." -Bronco Nation

The reason I bring up the chip issue, as an example of what's going on, in some cases that chip holds back a vehicle with the tow package (the difference between a four-pin and seven-pin), sometimes it holds back the safety group, adaptive cruise, heated seats, any number of things that seem completely unrelated (using Ford Bronco as an example). So, your build, exactly like mine but with LED headlamps is held back while mine is shipped. Your vehicle waits for a plug-n-play chip in a dirt lot.

Communications are typically sent to the dealer, not the individual customer, because Jeep is not keeping track of your vehicle relative to a specific question you may have. They aren't sitting there thinking, "Hey, somebody better call Steve and tell him the control module that works the rear wiper will take an extra week, while his neighbor's Jeep with everything else and a soft top is shipping early."

Ford does have a big problem. Tens of thousands of vehicles built in 2021 still waiting for chips. Brand new 2021s should still be for sale well into the fall. Not to mention they have been sitting still on a dirt lot for months and months.

Production didnt start until mid to late December, so no one has really been waiting more than two months.

Ordered mine on 12/20, shipped 2/3.
Ding-Ding we have a winner here, this one, right here
Orders for '22's started early October but production didn't begin until late December so there were over two months of orders backed up when the new line actually began
Plus all that other junk listed here, just contact Jeep Chat and they'll give you exact update details - lol ?

And often times even the dealer doesn’t, or can’t get any information. My dealer has been very responsive, keeps me updated re: my order that hasn’t moved from D status. I recently received an email from FCA with a different VIN than my original order (I posted this elsewhere) and that was a result of the regional rep telling my dealer to submit another sold order in my name to see if that one would move through more quickly because even he (regional rep) could get no information on why my original order hasn’t moved.

My dealer has received I think 14 Wranglers so far, all ordered after mine. My sales director also received his order which he indicated he ordered the week after mine. It is what it is.

Hey everyone, I'm doing what research I can before ordering and one thing I noticed was it seems like some people are waiting a long time for the Jeeps and some people are getting theirs within 2 months? 2 people I've spoken to have had their Jeeps ordered back in November and they say they haven't even started to be built. Does anyone have any idea as to why this might be? I've heard that there are some items on back order, but does anyone know any specific parts/packages that would hold up an order? I know I have to be patient, but putting in an order and waiting 4 months just to be told it hasn't even been started on would be infuriating. Any insight would be really helpful.
Jeep just wanting to give you a taste of the Bronco buying experience.

I can see the logic in the waiting for build two months before building started argument, but if I'd ordered in October, my expectation would have been that they started collecting parts THEN. That way after two months of waiting for the new model to start, the 1st orders in line would have parts waiting, and they were sold orders with low number VINs. The two months of backed up orders should have been out the door unless parts were missing. It's puzzling the way they actually started production.

My order has been built, and it's later than some and earlier than some, but there were VIN numbers way after mine being delivered to dealers in January when mine was in D1. Again, puzzling how that works.
