  1. Took the 4xe on its first road trip and the gas milage was a shock

Yes, definitely adjusted. Its too big of a difference lol
  2. Took the 4xe on its first road trip and the gas milage was a shock

I'll consider doing another long trip but with closer-to-stock sizes but I did not recall getting anywhere near 24mph on stock (I drive ~70 on the highways). A 392 take off is slightly wider than a Rubicon so we'll see what difference it makes. My tires extend past the fender quite a bit but I...
  3. Took the 4xe on its first road trip and the gas milage was a shock

The efficiency I was referring to is the fuel efficiency once battery reaches 0%, which basically happens about 20 minutes into a long drive. Its definitely more powerful when the i4, turbo, and 2 electric motors are all pushing at the same time.
  4. 4XE Transmission overheat warning while on trails

thats strange, I didn't see this on the Mopar site when i popped my VIN in I did see an "Electric Mode" bulletin which i'm bringing the car in next week for.. might be why the electric mode shuts off after a few minutes on the freeway
  5. Took the 4xe on its first road trip and the gas milage was a shock

100% on everything. Except... it becomes a 2.0T thats less efficient than the V6, essentially a gas guzzler with a tiny fuel tank if you NEVER plug it in. On the weekdays, I can drive 300 miles and burn zero gas because I plug in at home and at the office. But on the weekend..... lets not...
  6. Took the 4xe on its first road trip and the gas milage was a shock

You can lease the 4XE and they should be able to pass thru the 7.5k tax credit (then buy). But I wouldnt buy a 4XE to keep, as I predict it'll be a nightmare to service the electric system. But lets say if you drive to a different state and spend multiple days camping on a trail, 4XE is a bad...
  7. 4xe Electric Mode Unavailable Suddenly Under Load

Yeah... its an annoying limitation at least on this current iteration of EV technology. Without a doubt the motor is getting overloaded although I've owned a Fiat 500 EV (which is also a FCA product) you can do a high loading condition by leaving it floored at high speed and it'll just max out...
  8. 4xe Electric Mode Unavailable Suddenly Under Load

I experience the same issue... 2023 4XE with 2000 miles, 2.5" lift and 37" tires. 5 minutes on the freeway on electric mode at 70mph, it'll struggle to maintain speed, then say "battery mode unavailable". A few minutes later, battery mode comes back. Then I have to remind myself that Chrysler...
  9. Electric range loss on Sahara after switch to Rubicon tires and wheels

I went from Rubicon tires to 37's.. definitely will lose range and get lower MPG.
  10. Took the 4xe on its first road trip and the gas milage was a shock

I have almost the exact same setup and basically have the similar experiences, albeit I keep the cruise control at 70mph. Driving over 200-300 miles, the 4XE is going to average out at numbers closer to 392 gas mileage. I had a '22 JLUR (V6) and i HATED it for daily driving especially when...
  11. 4XE Transmission overheat warning while on trails

Unfortunately I did not remember the temp, but yes, the fan was operating loudly. And only showing overheat in the slower areas of the trail. 4H Does this apply to all 4XE's?
  12. My 1 week review of owning a 2023 Wrangler Rubicon 4xe

Its a very nice car if you learn to work with the strange "quirks". I'm on my 5th JL of various models and the 4XE is my favorite JL for "local/commute" while the ICE wranglers were good for trips and spends much of the rest of time sitting in my garage. Keep it charged as much as you can and...
  13. 4XE Transmission overheat warning while on trails

So I experienced this for the first time, and its somewhat disturbing since its probably 4XE specific. On a 60F day in the California desert going uphill on a trail from palm springs to joshua tree, I got the transmission overheat warning less than 3 miles in. Temperature of transmission was way...
  14. Skid plate for Mopar Steel Bumper (with winch and winch plate)

The new skid plate came with the necessary mounts to go on those two vertical posts so it was a quick and painless install! Photos below, sorry for the dirt, haha.
  15. Tesla J1772 Wall Connector (Level 2) Installed!

I'm not a electrician myself (but got tons of low voltage experience like you)... For this install a family member did some extensive electrical upgrades to a 50 year old home. He calculated this for me based on total load, whether sustained or short term, run length, type of wire, type of...
  16. Skid plate for Mopar Steel Bumper (with winch and winch plate)

I started with the plastic Rubicon bumper, bought the steel bumper and when installed I notice the setup missing some parts... Anyways 82215183 did the trick, the total cost was $261 delivered from the dealer, took about 10 minutes to install.
  17. Tesla J1772 Wall Connector (Level 2) Installed!

Completed self install recently for two Tesla Wall connectors, one to charge my Tesla, and one to charge my 4XE. Prior to the install I charged the Tesla via NEMA-1450 wall socket, and i charged the 4XE using the 120v charger that took at least 12-16 hours. With these two, I can configure it to...
  18. Skid plate for Mopar Steel Bumper (with winch and winch plate)

Wanted to see if anyone knows which parts I still need, but after completing an install with the Mopar steel bumper, warn winch, (with the maximus winch plate) I was not able to get the factory splash/skid plate back on. Not only is a bunch of components now exposed, it probably won't be as...
  19. Please Help a Newbie w/new 22 4xe - Charge Depletes Quickly While Driving

I'll let you know once I figure this out, but no, the 4xe is stock height with 10mm wider tires steel bumper and winch. On the display, I got 15 gallons of gas on those the 219 miles... so its 15mpg but calculating the jeep way, its 20mpg.
  20. Please Help a Newbie w/new 22 4xe - Charge Depletes Quickly While Driving

That's so strange, yours is significantly better than mine, i thought maybe it was due to Sahara, but we both have a Rubicon. I've added steel bumper and a winch so its around 150 lbs, I've also went from 285/70/17 BFG to 295/70/17 MT tires. Neither of which is nearly as much as your...
