@chevymitchell - do you know if the sensor bolt available for purchase? Thinking about having one on hand just in case.
I don't think this is necessary, just take time at it, mine had a lotta red on it and use a t20 that is not stripped already

It might be available, but I wouldn’t worry. You’ll be ok. Even if you needed one, you could find it locally at a fastenal or local hardware store.

@neil was able to remove his sensor without removing the bearing cap. I assume that no extra pressure is applied to the sensor to get it out?

He came at it first with a rachet, I used a 4" hand screwdriver first, much lower torque-and could not move it, use a 1/4 drive ratchet with a long torx tip and it will come off much easier than w a screwdriver

Not if your moving it the correct way, it slid out as soon as I found the direction.

Sometimes accountants get disoriented under jeeps in tax season.

FWIW, screw is 82 degree head, 2 cm, pitch .70mm T20 in stainless. Fastenal should have it for 19 bucks.

It’s really when you’re trying to fish the harness back into the hole during installation where it just saves you a ton of time to remove the bearing cap.

Thank you, I'll be sure to give a little feedback if one day I have this repair done to my satisfaction (and with the help of my lawyer).

After 5 months of "discussion" with Jeep-FCA, at first refused to take this repair under warranty, then finally agreed to change the complete front axle in a few days.

Well, without a lawyer, I doubt the resolution was positive.

In my opinion, Jeep-FCA after-sales service is pathetic.

Does the potting compound syringe come with the applicator tip? It doesn't show on the website.
