If you want to cut through dust (and fog) you should mount them lower so they aren’t lighting up the area directly in front of your face as well as your hood. Besides they’d look OK on the bumper, they look horrible there, MickeyI just installed massive 9 inch lights on my Jeep and on the first day got 3 comments from random strangers on how big they are! Reason I picked them is that I do a lot of off-roading with my Jeep Club in AZ and I’m always upfront. I need strong lights to cut through the dust and to ensure that the Razers flying toward me at 50 mph can see it a mile away.
Question is, are these lights too big for the location? Installing them on the bumper and/or stinger not an option since they’re blocking the headlights and/or the
front camera. I can return them and downgrade to 7 inch lights but that means I’ll be reducing my nearly 40K lumens by 10K or so.

Here is an AI rendering of 7 inches on the cowl. Still wrong. What lights are these that they are that big with such low lumens. Hopefully cheap.Message heard loud and clear LOL. I have 7 inch coming tomorrow. Will try to mount them on the pillars and if the reflection off the hood is too much, I'll move them to the corner of the bumper.
By positioning them away at the edge, my driving visibility is not impacted at all. It'll be interesting to see if they survive, tight squeezes,. Plastic covers are cheap to replace if they don't get hit too hard.
Damn, man... you steal those off a school bus?Question is, are these lights too big for the location?
Hey Russ, I’m also in Scottsdale, what’s the name of the Jeep club you’re in? @yokramer Hey I still stand with my answer. Honestly I think he needs bigger lights mounted on his cowl. It needs to look like the dish on metal gear rex! This is your reminder @jax501 @Talljeeper @azjl#3 @Balmung44 @LARider @BigCheeshead to go get your yearly eye exam done.
