Funny thing is, since the late 70s we have always drove around in our jeeps with the doors off in Pennsylvania. When they passed that law, it was the first I ever heard it was illegal to do so before.
If you want to cut through dust (and fog) you should mount them lower so they arenāt lighting up the area directly in front of your face as well as your hood. Besides theyād look OK on the bumper, they look horrible there, Mickey ;)
I suspect this comparison in sales includes the poor manās bronco so a real comparison of the two would leave that out or add in the Jeep Compass sales.
Bought the clone from Amazon much cheaper than Mopar. They are solid and match almost perfectly. Nice coating that is holding up great. Only thing you will notice is the hinges on one side are have reversed logo/text that no one will ever notice. Iām really picky about cheap parts and buy...
So you canāt talk to people while your slow automatic deflators do the job? My over-sand work fine for me. I can also carry on a discussion while they are deflating.
Donāt even use drive modes in my vehicles that have it. If you canāt drive in the snow without your vehicle in snow mode, stay home. Itās like wearing a helmet in your recliner while watching The View because you like it.
I leave my Jeep aired down until I need to drive it on highways, up to a couple weeks. The only problem you will run into is driving too fast with them aired down. The heat build up will destroy them. I saw a video with a good rule of thumb which stated to not drive faster than double your...
Reverse could be a little lower in gearing and 3rd should be lower. 5th and 6th are too close together but not as off as 3rdās place in the gearing. Otherwise having a manual is really nice. Have a Rubicon so when crawling in low range everything works pretty well. Just hate backing up while...
Calculations put my Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac E-rated 35s at 30psi and they ride great on highway at that pressure. Off-road they are bone rattling at 30psi.
Depends on if itās your only vehicle to drive. I also have a Ram 1500 and my wife her own car, so yes, my 2-door Rubicon is a very expensive toy. A toy that gets me places I took my Ram (and some I wouldnāt take my Ram) but much easier. Great for hunting despite not having a bed that is easy...
Some require a ground plane for performance, like the stubby 3dB one they sell. Itās the reason I went with the Highland 3dB bull bar antenna which states does not need ground plane. I know it performs much better than the ghost stubby one mounted in same location by my spare tire.
Goodyear duratrecās were not on my list but I found a slightly used set on rubicon rims at 35x12.50 r17 lt e-load for my 2door 2018 rubicon. Was going to get toyos after finding set of wheels but I was pleasantly surprised how much better these tracked and rode on highway/interstate. They are...
I didn't see this mentioned above but in some cases having lockers on will make vehicle hard to control. When really slick it will be easier to corner and not slide around if you keep all four wheels from slipping. Lockers require the wheels to be able slip when firmly placed on the ground...
Had the midland āghostā antenna mounted on bracket off rear tailgate hinge by tire and transmission/reception was horrible. After looking into how these antennas need to be mounted I discovered they need a good 12ā ground plane of metal at their base. That ruled out mounting by the hood like...
Since I brought the tires slightly used for a good price I was OK with E-rated then later looked into the Duratracs and found out the C rated have 2-ply sidewalls. I prefer the stronger sidewall due to using this set to do more off-roading. I can only compare my other set of tires (p-metric)...
I just bought a set of 5 35X12.50R17LT Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs for my 2018 2-door JL Rubicon and it drives better than the 33ā Falken Rubitrecs I took off. They are rated E for load which is high (bought slightly used on another set of Rubicon rims for a great price) but the ride is...
