I'm looking at a few light bars to mount on my bull bar, in the 17" to 20" range. I've read the horror stories about the cheapies on Amazon so I won't be going that route, but at the same time I'm not trying to spend $500-$1000 for a 20" light bar. I've found a few that seem pretty nice in the $200-$300 range. What say you, Jeep experts?

That being said, I'll be mounting it on TOP of my bull bar with offset clamps that set it behind the top of the bar. I want the light as high as possible and mounting underneath limits the size of the light bar. This is the aftermarket Warn Mid-Height bull bar that bolts onto the stock JL Rubicon steel bumper. The end plates are solid, no holes, and I hate to drill holes in the bar and create rust points, so I'm wondering about options for concealing the wire. I though about just zip tying the wire to bar but this would be hideous and look cobbled. I'm thinking about maybe gluing it to the back of the bar using black silicone. Again, what say you?
