Lift dilemma

It’s nuts to see how much money you can drop just to lift your jeep lol

Yeah, copy that….I would just concentrate on getting your lift tires and wheels then address the rest of it as it comes along….. it may be right away, or could be a while, depending on how you use it, and if you got good or bad oem parts, ( crap shoot on BJs )….

Totally nuts. Before owning a Jeep, I was used to buying balljoints for trucks and cars at something like $35-40 ea.

Yeah one step at a time for sure. I do have “aftermarket” wheels and tires. They were gladiator rubicon take offs. Not sure of the offset though. But they’re the size I want to keep with for not so I don’t have to re-gear.

A little something to ponder... if you are going to have a shop do the work, consider that many shops will get you the same price you can buy it for and still make a little profit, which keeps them happy and willing to do the work. Some shops won't install customer provided parts at all.

Metalcloak, RockKrawler, Clayton are great options. I went with Teraflex and have been super happy with it, and it wasn't too expensive. I think the basic lift was like 700 and the drop brackets cost another 450? Something like that. I have a Rubicon so I didn't bother with the quick disconnect sway bar links.

I realized that I did not give you enough information, heh. I forgot about the shocks, which did cost just about 2k. But I got the Falcon 3.3 fast adjust piggy back shocks. You an get the less expensive ones and be fine.

Very valid, I have a guy that I met from the TRX forum and he always gets me the best deals, way better than the other vendors on the forum. I likely paid "full asking price" on the first thing I purchased from my Jeep shop but the next time, I asked if they could match his deals and they stated that they would just beat his deals on anything I purchase. I go back and forth on who I use. If I am installing myself, I will go with me regular guy. If the shop is installing, I go with them.
