I'm installing a 2.5" lift and added the Teraflex sport fixed lower front control arms. The Teraflex instructions say to Torque them to 103 ftlbs +145deg but also say (REF 230-250 ftlbs) not sure what that means. The lift kit instructions say to Torque to 190 ftlbs. And the service manual says 103 + 50deg. Which is correct and what does REF 230-250 ftlbs mean?

I believe all those specs are approximately three ugga-duggas.

Or, you can just do what I do and tighten them as hard as I can. :CWL:

seriously, I have OEM bolts and tighten to 190 (which is still about as hard as I can do it). Did your kit come with new bolts? Maybe stronger bolts would need a higher torque

103 ft lbs + 145 deg (REF 230-250 ft lbs) means you torque the bolt to 103 ft lbs, then tighten an additional 145 deg; which should give you a final torque reading of 230 - 250 ft lbs. The difference between kit and factory values are probably due to difference in fastener strength and stretch of the respective fasteners. If using lift kit bolts, then use lift kit values.

Holy crap I could NEVER get a bolt torqued to 230lbs. I can barely do it to 190.
