Let's see how bad the Uconnect issues are!

i have random and fairly regular freezes. current screen freezes and no touch activation of anything. only solution is power off jeep power on jeep. just turning on and off the screen doesn't fix it.

I guess Non WINS another useless complainers section

I’m actually happy to see “None” added as a poll option because most complaining posts make problems seem rampant and will not show how minimal the problem is for the masses.

Although I voted “no” I occasionally have the issue of the mute button not turning sound back on on, after it was turned on. This happens so infrequently I can’t remember if this happen on some SXM channel, an FM channel or Carplay app. Corrects self by changing the channel or input

Only issue I have is that very often when playing music through my phone it won’t let me shuffle. The button to shuffle will just be darkened and I can’t touch it. Other times it’s lit up and I can shuffle. Not sure why.

Most Android Auto and Apple Car play issues will have nothing to do with UConnect. Those would be Google/Apple issues.

My USB ports will sometimes not work. Plug in the phone and won't receive power or connect for carplay, It's almost like a power surge and then the breaker pops. I have to turn the vehicle off, get out, lock it, wait a minute or two then get back in for them to function. I tried to charge a watch using the front USB one time and all my USB ports went down. Ended up having to pull and reinstall the fuse to get them working again. Learned to use the cigarette lighter if I need to charge anything other than a phone. I had an issue one morning where I had no audio on any of the sources. Did a JL Forums search and someone had the same issue and switching to the AM radio source fixed it. I tried it and magically everything came back on. Why AM? Made no sense to me. That would have been a long 7 hour drive with no audio. 99% of the time everything works great. I'll say Uconnect is light years ahead of Ford or Nissans systems. Those were an absolute dumpster fire.

Same here. BT works fine, but USBs go down completely. Hasn’t happened since I pulled the fuse and reseated.

I'm finally getting my radio replaced. Part of the delay was having to go to a second dealer and re-diagnose the damn thing. I'm waiting for my appt to install the new radio currently. I have been driving without any music for maybe 3 months now. I know it sounds so small, but I listen to music almost all day whether in the car, work or home. So for me, this is actually a huge bother. I know, first world problems. Thankfully, it will be fixed really soon.

On a side note, the wandering steering issues I have, now my wife refuses to even drive the wrangler. She had to avoid someone who stopped quick and almost lost control correcting the wrangler. I don't blame her though, the steering is way too loose compared to the other three wranglers we've owned. When i get the radio installed, they are going to "correct" it. Can't wait to see how many visits that takes.

When I took delivery of my 2019 JIUR on May 5th the sales guy set up my Samsung Galaxy s7 with android auto USB connection for screen projection. It kind of worked for about 2 weeks and now it does not connect at all.

But what should I expect from a $55,000 automobile? ;-)

So far, I have my Uconnect replacement for a week and it is working. Let's see if I get past the first couple weeks without the radio imploding again.

Wrong. Same exact phone, I was on a business trip and rented a fully loaded Jeep Cherokee. The UConnect (specifically the Android Auto) on the Cherokee looked pretty much identical to my 2018 JLUR with 8 in screen / Alpine upgrade, with the exception that it worked flawlessly. On my Wrangler, the Adroid Auto keeps disconnecting over and over again all by itself. Pretty annoying...
