I'll check out what's in the garage before the garage itself, but to be fair, I envy people with even bare garages.

Previous owner of our house put drop ceilings in the garage and just laid pink insulation on top of the panels. so now the panels are falling in and the (moldy)fiberglass is falling in. The drop panels are dropping white dust all over my bikes and car. It gives mice a really good place to hide. It just sucks. I really screwed up when we moved in not just immediately gutting it, but I was too excited to have a garage.

Extra sad, previous owners removed a lift in order to build a dividing wall in the garage. still has the oil change pit at least. must have been a really cool garage when the original owner built it, before a non car guy moved in.

Well dang, I appreciate that…….see, there ARE nice people in this world. Now if I can get someone to store the Lamborghini free of charge, I can put the Jeep in one side and go shopping to fill the other.

Hey, don’t get too down on yourself……being a car guy isn’t what it’s cracked up to be

I'm like I got 2 cars, a motorcycle, a toolbox, workbench, lawnmower, garden tools, holiday decorations and a bunch of other misc things in my 2 car garage, and these people have a 3 car garage and can't get 1 car in them.
....
This is where I'd normally post a "This guy gets it!" meme, but this forum's HOA would just remove it.

The people we bought the house from was a non car guy and they ruined the garage. I've been into cars/vehicles and working on them since way before I could drive (legally).

My house came with integrated 2 door Jeep parking.

It was, however, ten years before I parked a Jeep there. Until then, it was the workspace to keep my Specialized Roubaix in perfect tune.. that's right, a third of my garage was dedicated to bycicle maintenance - making me the perfect candidate to own a Jeep.:like:

I always appreciate a garage whether it has tools or just tools standing in it. I always appreciate a garage that is organized. I'll let others judge.

Who else spends more time admiring photos of other people's garages rather than the jeeps in them ?
I do. Why would I obsess over looking at pictures of a vehicle that I already own? One that I see multiple examples of on the road, and online, every day of the week? It requires no skill to park a freshly washed vehicle in a garage and call it a day.

No, I'm looking for inspiration as it regards tools, storage and layout. How well does all of that come together? Was a particular investment worth the expense? What might be examples of what not do with finite floor space? How defensive are the folks who are plainly disorganized?

And so on.

If you knew the dudes that hang in my garage you'd understand. Not a toolbox in sight from this view:

But why is there a motorcycle on your weight bench? You can’t blast your pecs proper with that setup
