LED, Spare tire, brake light ring.

If a few people could please confirm which LED spare tire brake light ring you are using (plug & play) I sure would appreciate it.

I bought two of them and neither one had the correct connections for my JL Wrangler Sport 2023. I believe they may have sent me JK LED brake light rings. Hopefully my third one will be a charm.

I recently installed the Oracle LED ring. It uses t-taps…from what I have read and seen it seems that fitting plug n play connectors inside the OEM third brake light frame may not be possible.

This is the one I’m currently using but am switching to a different one that has sequential turn signal and reverse light built in but it is not plug and play.

Quadratec makes a plug and play that fits into the stock wire frame. Easy install and no splicing.

Not sure if it’s the same connector on 21 vs 23, but, I had this plug and play unit momementarily while trying to come up with a better solution for my brake light. Ended up using the included OEM connector to make my own solution. Probably not worth the $60 they’re asking for it these days, I paid $35 at the time.

Edit: I might just snip the OE connector and replace with a Deutsch connector these days ?‍

I’m going with the xk glow one
I picked it up from extreme terrain as one of there open box items for a decent discount but didn’t notice any damage just waiting to get my jeep back so I can swap them.

That's the exact same one I bought. Connections for the one they sent me, not even close but in the photos on Amazon they are a dead match to my OEM connections. I think they sent me one for a JK.

For those of you who've installed the spare tire LED ring, did you concurrently eliminate the OEM center-mounted brake light (aka CHMSL)? Or does the LED ring compel retention of the center brake light? Just curious.

No, you retain the factory CHMSL.
