Okay, now that I have a few bucks in Amazon gift cards squirreled away from the holidays, I think I'm finally ready to take the plunge and try out an LED bulb swap for my stock halogens. I tried finding BeamTech on Amazon, but I could only find bulbs for fog lights. The only LED headlight bulbs I found for the JL (H13, 9008) were these.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CL8Q1VP...C2R1KQK0&psc=1&ref_=list_c_wl_lv_ov_lig_dp_it

1.) Does anybody have a good link to BeamTech LED bulbs on Amazon?
2.) If not, can anyone confirm if the Auxito bulbs I linked to are a decent alternative?
3.) If not, is there another brand (link) you would recommend?

Now I'm going to go back to stockpiling pics of cute puppies for people who delete threads... :)

My pops was asking about his 2017 CRV so i directed him to the Honda forum. There he got lots of info and i sent some YouTube links. He ended up buying from Hikari. I installed them over the holiday and they seem to be of pretty good quality and brightness. Not sure why they show a jeep on the main page but whatevers... https://hikari-led.com/

Buy yourself some Oracle Oculus Bi-LED lights. If you’re on a budget, wait for some scratch and dent Rough Country LEDs come up for sale on eBay. I’m neither a fan of 7” LEDs in a 9” hole nor LED bulbs in halogen housing. There are plenty of threads on this topic. Look at the pics of the beam patterns of the LED bulbs vs. LED lights. No comparison.

I went with Sealight for my headlights and Lasfit for my blinkers/DRLs. No complaints whatsoever - just drove to/from Gatlinburg/Texas.

My build thread has links in one of the later posts.

I went with KC when upgrading the headlamps on my JL Sport.
Expensive, but they throw an enormous amount of light and are DOT approved.

I appreciate the suggestions, but I'm only interested in swapping the bulbs at this point.

Nothing better than Lasfit. They are amazing. Great light. Keeps the visual line perfectly. No flashing from oncoming drivers. Major upgrade from stock halogens.
Opt for the yellow/white switchable fog light too.

same here, picked them up during Black Friday. Sent back the Amazon BeamTech's because they wouldn't seat properly in my '22 halogen housings. (loose fitting)

I need a break in the weather to get these installed

I received the BeamTechs and just finished installing them. The install went pretty much as the YouTube videos suggest with a few exceptions.

1.) Every video I've seen that involves removing the grill makes it look like once you pull the top pins, the bottom clips just easily pull out. Well... maybe they do on your Jeep, but on mine it took a ridiculous amount of effort to get them to release. I tried pulling from the top, sides and bottom to the point where I was afraid I was going to end up deforming the plastic of the grill itself. I finally got enough of a gap at the top that I could get one hand in from the top and one hand underneath to be able work each clip out individually across the bottom of the grill.

Reassembly, though, was easy as could be. Everything just popped back in. But I hope these bulbs last a while because I am not looking forward to pulling that grill again.

2.) Trying to remove the wiring harness from the halogen bulb I lifted up the light gray locking clip but couldn't get the darker gray harness to release. I pulled up hard enough that the locking clip slipped off and broke. In the grand scheme of things this wasn't a big deal since the new BeamTech clip snapped in place solidly, so I'm not worried about the connection working loose over time.

3.) A minor thing, but I thought the BeamTech (and most LED bulbs) came with gloves to help keep oils off the LED. My package didn't. It wasn't a problem because I had rubber gloves in the garage (from years of working on greasy bicycle chains).

Aside from those things, the bulb installation went in as expected and the result looked excellent in the garage. I'll take a test drive this evening and see how it goes.
