I got bad news for you...the tires in your pic are NOT KM2s

I do not believe the BFG KM2s are or were an option...if they were I would have them on my Jeep.
If you look at the second photo that was posted by the OP you can see that he had KM2s. The first photo is the KO2s that replaced them. KM2s were fitted to Willys Sports; I know this because that's what came on mine! I'm making the same switch to KO2s this week.

Weird stuff with the whole KO2 and KO3 thing. I was reading a ton of reviews on which tire to grab. And quite a bit of reviews prefer the KO2's over the KO3's. Weird, I know. Upgraded tire and all.

KO3s look like slightly worse/compromised on off-road grip (tightly spaced lugs) for on-road comfort/stability esp in water evacuation channels.

Yeah, the whole pitch was improved for off road. But if you look at the tire, it looks less of off road and more highway. I went with the KO2's. Way too many positive reviews to not.

Its a very safe choice. I run KO2s 37s, previously had 35s KO2. I tried other tires for short time periods (Duratrac, General Grabber ATx, Falken Wildpeak RT) but I kept going back to KO2.

I was so close to pulling the trigger on Wildpeaks. But the road noise complaints stopped me. I think the KO2's are a smart move.

i have some k02 37's i like them the road noise isn't bad even with the windows down, good in snow however i have felt them hydroplane alot in water
Can you give more details on the hydro? I am about to move to the PNW and have been debating KO2s in 35s but am slightly worried how the traction is in the rain. Talked to a few folks up there who swear by them and call out the wet traction concern as being overblown. I’m not going to be doing the Gumball 3000

i have some k02 37's, i have alot of time driving in the rain, one thing i noticed with atleast the 37's is they are prone to hydroplaning more, you can correct for it if you know what to do and don't freak out, but def noticed in the rain, mostly in pools of water on the freeway or streets. I also go offroad and love them for climbing and zero issues in snow and ice. but you will feel it in the wheel alot more than other tires I have used in the rain. in my opinion they are manageable.

i am in that region (Vancouver, Canada) and drive in rain all the time here. It hydroplanes when there is a huge puddle of water on the road. Just watch out only for that situation. With a lot of rain and decent amount of water film layer you can still drive normal at highway speeds.
Interestingly, the Falken RT had worse lateral grip in low temperature wet/rainy conditions than any other tire I had.

Thanks for the inputs! Convinced me to stick with the KO2s. Losing lateral grip in the rain is not a fun experience.
