The factory KM2s on my JLUWS had been giving me bad noise and vibration issues for months. I had taken them to my local dealer and was told to “give it a few thousand miles and they’ll be fine.” Fast forward to my most recent oil change where I decided to go to a different dealer and have them check the tires — they immediately said they were cupped and needed to be replaced. Long story short, BFG replaced them all with K02s at half price and I can’t believe the difference in noise and ride quality. I also can’t believe my local dealership repeatedly told me it was nothing and cost me months of dealing with bad tires.

I guess the moral of the story is get a second opinion!

Is there a way I can delete the extra threads? It’s been a while since I used the app

Yes, there is.

You never mentioned in this thread, (maybe you did in the other two) but how often did you rotate the tires? BFG KM2's are well known for cupping if you don't rotate every 3K miles. If you do rotate, you can get some good life out of them.

They were rotated every 5-7k as I was advised by the dealership that I no longer work with. But as I now know, they obviously weren’t the best authority on the subject.

Regardless of cupping, ATs will always be quieter and rude better on the street than MTs. I thought the willys came with Firestone MTs though? Were the km2s an aftermarket add?

The KM2's on my 2016 JK were the best wearing tires I ever owned. But NOISY. Sold them for $800 at 40k and got BFG KM2's. I am happy.

I got bad news for you...the tires in your pic are NOT KM2s

I do not believe the BFG KM2s are or were an option...if they were I would have them on my Jeep. I have been running those the past, maybe 10 years
