Anyone else with their Trektop notice the rear window bottom weatherstrip doesn't go low enough to be flush with the tailgate? It has a slight bow and I can see inside the cargo area at the bottom of the window slightly.

It may just be because the top hasn't stretched at all yet. I installed it at 50 degrees yesterday and it is currently 30 degrees today.
Yes, was one of the first things I noticed when I installed mine. However, it seems to have settled and is no longer an issue.

Update: In torrential rains (several more inches coming this week....it's ridiculous) the Trektop NX is as dry as a bone on the inside. The top is still doing really well!

In high winds, or at high speeds (interstate) there is a little bit of flapping and wobbling of the framework. It's not bad, but it's enough to make you notice it. So my personal policy has been to NOT use the Sunrider unless I'm on 55 MPH highways or below.

Ok so this week I experienced flapping for the first time. 70 MPH, driving north with a 20 MPH west crosswind, windows up, Sunrider closed, HVAC on, rear window would flap violently at the tailgate bar. Got pretty annoying after a while. It was worse when a truck would pass me, but it did it without vehicles passing me also. I sent Cassie an e-mail but haven't heard from her yet. I think she's been busy lately.

Anybody else get violent flapping at the rear window on the interstate?

Finally got around to installing mine today, but have to say I was fairly impressed. (Past experience was the JK model, one with twill one with black diamond.). Also impressed with Bestop....I dropped a bushing, spent an hour trying find it, pulling up the carpet, and it's gone. Made the phone call, they are FedEx, next day a bushing, which I offered to pay for, but they called warranty, so no charge. They didn't need to do that, but over-nighting a 3 cent bushing has earned them repeat business down the road from me.

Quick comparison to the two JK's at the shop, and I noticed that the JL top, at the windshield seemed to have a better, more flush fit. The JL's almost sat on the windshield, and when I've been in them, that seemed to be a source of some wind noise. After we did it, we took 'em both for a spin, just to compare, and without a decibel meter I'm just guessing, but the JL seemed to maybe a hair quieter at road speed (65-70) than the JK, but I think it's splitting hairs.

It may be different with the twill on the JL than with the JK, but I was fairly impressed because I felt that there would be a significant wind noise difference between them, and honestly there was not. I love the dark black of the twill, and I think it really pops. On a white Jeep, it looks amazing, and I did have a few moments of doubt, I think the twill on the orange would have looked great, but I'm satisfied with the black diamond.

The black diamond fit great, was tight, and had no seating issues at all. I saw how the twill was tighter, and did have some seating issues, but as the day got warmer, it stretched just fine. (We took off the back window panel so I could see the difference.) The biggest gripe I'd heard was that the twill was harder to get seated, and unless you did a good job, you got more wind noise. Based just on what I saw today, I suspect that might not be accurate, but if I was going to take the top off every day, I'd definitely go black diamond.

I'll post some cell phone pic's, but they kinda suck, so I'll get some better ones this weekend, and share 'em, and try to do a side by side with the JK's so the differences are more evident...if it's worth the time.

Any luck finding any pics or videos of this top on the 2 door?
Negative. Hey @BestopTeam,

My brother-in-law is a professional automotive photographer, and I have a HellaYella Rubicon that could provide some nice contrast as a model for your 2-door Trektop. If you send one my way, I’ll send you full size action pics in return.

(Of the JL, not me... Unless you think it would help. Are y’all into dad-bod?)

Seriously, help me help you.

@Shepherd12 @jconradtx I snagged a pic of the 2 door Trektop from the @BestopTeam Facebook page. I made a comment asking for a shot of it in bikini/safari mode; They said they would try get a pic but they haven't posted anything yet.
I think this one is the black diamon. Here is the link:

Thanks for posting this up! I’m with you - I’d really like to see what it it looks like as a safari top, too, so I’d still like to see a full video review before I pull the trigger. Having said that,I do think the lines look sporty from this angle, at least.

I want to see how much less of an over-hang the safari has than the OEM softop, when the OEM top has the windows out
