Here's a few more pictures of my Trektop with the Jeep actually cleaned up. Still waiting on my tire carrier to show up. So no spare for now.

And in case anyone was wondering - the basic front-only Alien Sunshade works perfectly with the Trektop. Bungee straps don't get in the way of anything.

Got mine installed today. I stuffed the cracks around my garage door with rags and then opened the joined door to the house and let the garage warm up. Meanwhile I put the top by the fireplace to warm up for a couple of hours. It must have worked because it was an easy install and took me 2.5 hours.

It has kept the rain out so far. Tomorrow I'll be driving through some heavy rain and heavy snow. I'll see how it holds up!

The audio quality is horrendous, but it may at least give rookies an idea of what it takes to install one of these.

Don't know when, or how, but my passenger side clamp has broken. Only flipped the top back a few times. Never felt anything pop.

Emailing them today to try and get a replacement.

Perfect weather the next couple of days to get it done, just sad that I don't have the time, and need to wait a week or so....

Perfect weather to have the windows off. While the Safari mode with the OEM softop was nice for protecting my cargo, I never really liked the look much.

Looking at getting one of these for our short Alaskan summers, especially during LiteBrite's promotion...my question is, when you want to go back to a hardtop for next winter, do you have to completely remove all the framework, or can you put the hardtop over it?

You will have to remove the framework. And honestly, it's roughly 16 bolts in total. Not a whole ton of work if you intent on switching once a year.

*** update on my broken passenger side latch.

Within a few days they have shipped out a replacement top section to replace the entire assembly which includes the latch.

Awesome customer service. I love it when a company stands behind their product!

At least now you get 10% plus a t-shirt which is a much better deal. Previously it was just use their code and Bestop throws money at them and you get a t-shirt. The t-shirt should say "I helped lite brite and all I got was this crummy t-shirt"
