Yeah, something about the regular soft top looks “off” in safari mode. I’m hoping this one subtracts from the overhang quite a bit.

So the other day I pulled into a car wash bay. My son stayed in the back seat waiting while I sprayed some mud off the Jeep. I was using the spray wand. As I made my way around the rear of the Jeep, my son jumped out and said "Stop! You're soaking me!" LOL there was water all over the rear of the Jeep. I blame the crappy seal of the tailgate bar for this also.

Seems like the only part of this top that really needs some work is that rear section. That's where all the water intrusion and wind flapping happens, when it happens.

Overall I still love the top, but I'm just not a fan of the fastback look. I can't wait until summer so I can take the windows out and leave them at home.

How is the sound when the sun rider is flipped bac? Any flapping?
Negative. It's smooth.
I can say after 30 days of daily use (70+ MPH) in all weather conditions (Jan/Feb) here in Kentucky, it's been great--Road-noise is comparable to hardtop; Extremely satisfied with purchase.

I'll comment further once the weather warms a little and rear windows are off.

I was talking to the dealer about the “loose flap” on the tailgate and he is ordering a set of 2019 clips (left and right side) that mout to the Jeep that retain the clips on the soft top, says in his research this is the fix. They tried a 2019 rear window and it didn’t work.

Does anyone have pictures of their jeep with the trektop nx side/back windows off, sunrider back, and doors off? I'm not happy the back seat remains covered, but trying to decide if I can live with it.

Hey! It has been VERY cold here so i haven't messed with the top, and we have been attending an event. I will pull it into our "garage" next week and get some pictures for you!

@Shepherd12 @jconradtx I snagged a pic of the 2 door Trektop from the @BestopTeam Facebook page. I made a comment asking for a shot of it in bikini/safari mode; They said they would try get a pic but they haven't posted anything yet.
I think this one is the black diamon. Here is the link:

@BestopTeam, any chance you can pull a 4 door into the garage and get pictures with the trektop nx side/back windows off, sunrider back, and doors off?

So in my searching for a soft top I’m intrigued by the trektop. I’m from New York City and don’t plan on having my JL see too many trails or see any snow or deal with extreme cold. It’s gonna be a spring/summer top and hard top goes back on in the late fall/winter. I’ve read the descriptions on both materials available. I would like opinions from those of you who have gotten the black diamond material. Any regrets about not getting the more expensive one? Im not trying to be cheap but since it’ll be on for 4-5 months of the year can I possibly save the extra 400 bucks and still get a quality top out of it? (not that the less expensive one is bad for any reason).

I have it, no regrets as my decision was similar. I am looking for a "part time" use top. I honestly don't see the logic in paying the additional money for the premium if not using full time all year as your primary top. It doesn't make financial sense to me. Today actually is the first day I am removing the rear and side windows as the rain finally stopped.

Awesome. Yea I think that’s the route I’m gonna go. That’ll mean 400 bucks towards a different upgrade

Has anyone who has this top tried to see if quick (10min) ‘topless’ conversions is possible- like what could be done with the JK version (like the video below)
Appreciate any feedback.

Cassie,
Sorry if this has been ask and answered.. Any plans for a NX Glide for JL???
Trying to decide on buying the NX or wait for the glide to come out... Any input is welcome.

Anyone have a glide in the past on a JK??? How does it work with the additional moving parts?? Smooth?? More rattle noise???

Looking for opinions.
Thanks
