Did anyone else get the entire set of Mopar wheel locks with their Jeep? I was expecting only the spare to have one but apparently all the wheels came with them on and matching the same key
All of mine had locks on them, but must have been put on by my dealer. Had the Mopar package in the glove box.

Same here - five locks, one key, Mopar packaging in the glovebox. In the order guide it says wheel locks or locking lugs, I forget which.

Spoke a little too quickly... it's not listed on the order guide or the build sheet, but on the window sticker.
"Locking lug nuts"
That's for a Sahara.

Yea mine had the Mopar packaging and everything else too. If it was a dealer add-on they didn't even try to change the price so I'll take it

I took delivery today of a new Sahara. It appears everything is included except I could not find the lugnut key. Where would I look?

Thanks!

If you didn’t have any locking lugs, then you won’t have a key. My spare had three standard lugs, so therefore no key for me either

Got it. Is that normal to not have a locking nut? I always assumed one locked.

It's normal. Locking lug nuts are so easily defeated that they have no real value and are seldom provided.

This comment is nonsensical at best. Pure crapola.

Unless someone is targeting your specific vehicle, a thief isn’t going to have the key with them. They would have to lug around a dozen keys. If you have locking lugs then they will definitely provide the key. Maybe some forgetful person didn’t put any on the spare tire, but if there’s any on the vehicle they should have given you the key.

They don't need a key. All you need is a hammer, socket and a breaker bar as illustrated here:

It's so trivial that even casual thieves know this. Like I said, they provide no effective value. It's why Chevrolet stopped putting them on Corvettes even with their $6,000 in tires and rims because they provide no real security.

When I worked as a flatrate tech in a VW dealer people list the key to there wheellocks constantly. I would just hammer an impact socket over the outside of it and zip it off with the gun. Obviously you would need to try different sizes to get one that was tight but went over, as well as had some space in the wheel for the oversized socket to fit, but it worked. Like any lock, they just keep honest people honest

It's nonsensical to spew that wheel locks are useless. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to know that indeed most any lock ... locking device can and often is defeated but they are not useless.

In regard to wheel locks.. They do slow thieves down and also may encourage thieves to move on to a softer target.

I know many dealerships install them as soon as a new vehicles arrive on the lot. Dealer pays for them and installs per insistence of their insurance carrier.

In closing, locks are a deterrent and often little more but they are not trivial or useless.

Yes, l have done similar. Does take time to do and noise is generated.

I myself use wheel lock systems, where by every lugnut is splined. So, thief has to remove... fruck with 5 wheel locks per wheel. He/she will at least have to work for my wheels.
