Mine was ordered at Jim Marsh 11/6/2018 and Antonio and others were very helpful. Although I'm still in D Status 6wks later. I hope when delivered its a better experience.

Head up, hope it gets sorted out for you fast.

What was your order date with them?

Keep careful documentation @IronChad . This sounds like a situation where the manufacturer and dealer dropped the ball.

I simply do not understand, as I sit here shaking my head. If I ran a dealership there would be a several hundred point inspection I'd have done on a rig before turning it over to a customer not simply because it makes for a pleasant buying experience for the customer, but my dealership as well.

These three things...in such close succession....the time has come to write Kuniskis' office. Don't forget, certified mail. Be stern, but be polite. State what you want done.

I bought from Koons in VA, who moves enormous numbers of rigs, making their money in volume. Never have I heard anyone come to the bboard with such issues with them...and I think it's because they know their job.

Jim 'Marsh': you need to take your head out of the 'swampland.'

Car dealers are reactive, not proactive. I think we all know that it’s “buyer beware”, especially when buying a used car- but it’s true with new cars, too. Cars are far different than almost everything else we buy. They’re not returnable. Dealerships know this. So.. they have all the incentive in the world to “just sell it”.

Koons and other dealers who move a lot of Wranglers have a fair amount of customer complaints- go to Google if you wanted to read some of them. A lot of customer complaints stem from issues just like the one in this thread- things that the manufacturers warranty won’t cover, which is mainly paint.

My experience with the dealership I bought from, just a short drive from Koons, was a positive one too, but I still took my good old time to make sure everything was the way I wanted it since the time to deal with it is before you sign on the dotted line, not after. I actually switched from the Wrangler I was going to buy to another one because on my test drive the soft top had a pretty loud annoying squeak on the passenger side. Thankfully they had two of the exact same Wranglers, right down to the color.

There wouldn’t been much I could have done once I drove it home.

I agree, it’s just the point. Apparently the guy that “buffed” out my clear coat isn’t even qualified to do this kind of work. Also I’m now going to be out of a car for 3 days and have to pay for a rental car. I had their body shop look at it and they said that entire panel would haha to be re-sprayed and then all the way to the door would have to be clear coated
It's dusty here but I had about 4 scratches on mine when they washed it. They ended up taking it to the body shop to fix it and they filled up a 4,000 mile fully loaded Chrysler Pacifica with a full tank of gas for me to use for the week. Then they filled up my Jeep with a full tank of gas when I picked it up as promised. They should take care of your rental too.

Sorry you're going through that OP. I'm flying to Idaho next week to pick up mine. Guess I'll be spending a few hours inspection mine prior to signing anything. I already have the checklist printed.

Just ask @cosine he knows!
Antonio emailed that our JL was delivered today @ Jim Marsh. I'll be picking it up later January but on a Monday, and we'll be in Vegas all week so hopefully if there are any issues they can be ID'd and handled. Sure hope this was just a one-off, I've done quite a bit of research prior to this order and Jim Marsh typically gets very good reviews. Hopefully things will take a turn for the better @IronChad, good luck w/ this.

Sorry to read about your bad experience. I trust that find a resolve to your satisfaction.

On the flip side . . . I dealt with James and Antonio for the first time on 10/6. From the moment I sat down with them and ordered my 2019 JLUR, build/delivery status updates, to the moment I picked up my JLUR last Friday, they were both nothing short of stellar.

James walked me through the steering wheel settings, set up my iPhone, and a whole bunch more.

As I’m driving my headliner is falling off. Just gets better and better
Post like this will cost FCA. FCA needs to get their Quality Control together. People will read post like this and have second thoughts. Some will simply walk away. FCA needs to take care of you. It sounds like there is already finger pointing based on what Jeep Cares replied back with about Marsh being a independent dealer. Jeep Cares is starting to sound like they (FCA) are blaming Marsh for the paint. Marsh dropped the ball with the pre-delivery inspection. Did you pay your deposit or any portion with a credit card? You might be able to gain a little leverage through your credit card company if it gets to that point. Hopefully it won't and everything will be resolved fairly. Labor rates are regional and can vary quite a bit. Hopefully the the amount Marsh cut you a check for is enough in your area. They also should pay for a rental. The good news is good qualified body shop can make a undetectable repair.

The A/C is definitely on FCA and their lack of quality control. So is the headliner.

Again…sorry you are experiencing this. Hopefully you get everything fixed to your satisfaction sooner than later.

Thanks I really hope so also, it’s definitely been a bummer and kinda ruins it. I had canceled my 2018 order so I could order a 2019 without any of the bugs. And to take delivery and still have issues is just extremely disappointing.
