We hit -20c here, even colder with the wind chill, so happy we have remote start, heated seats and wheel for the wife lol.

The 4Xe has a gas motor that will struggle less to start in the cold than any diesel. LolAdditional note:
I know those hybrids can be a struggle at times. For any 4xe’s having trouble starting up in this cold weather, I’d be happy to help em warm up!

You might want to re-read that post, he said 10' not 10", so 10 feet.10" crippled? Were they residents or vacationing city slickers?
Where I'm from, 10" was a normal storm and people had the experience, equipment and wherewithal to deal with it.
It's something I'm unfortunately seeing a lot more of.....people that have NO CLUE how to deal with this type of weather. It could be those in flip-flops stuck in a bank of snow or those doing 25 in a 50mph zone because of flurries.
I can't imagine what would happen if we had the storms of the 1950s-1980s
My bride took a bit of pleasure in mentioning, as we used the Jeep for errands on this cold Monday, that her Honda has heated seats and the JLU doesn't.We hit -20c here, even colder with the wind chill, so happy we have remote start, heated seats and wheel for the wife lol.
I still get the last laugh in the summer with my cooled seats In my Durango lol. But we spend a lot more time in the jeep going wheeling, but I sure enjoy the cooled seats afterwards lolMy bride took a bit of pleasure in mentioning, as we used the Jeep for errands on this cold Monday, that her Honda has heated seats and the JLU doesn't.
For perspective, the neoprene seat covers trap a bit of body warmth even in the winter, and the Jeep's nuclear-grade heating firmly puts the Honda in 2nd Place.
Still, wives are gonna wife, so us guys just have to roll with it.![]()
I do, too, sort of.I still get the last laugh in the summer with my cooled seats In my Durango lol.
My 3.0 would beg to differ, partnerThe 4Xe has a gas motor that will struggle less to start in the cold than any diesel. Lol
And I can take my hat off of my bald ass head with 60 degrees on the thermometer on this fine day without fear of freezing. I can remember the winters when I was a kid growing up NW of Chicago. When the snow was measured in feet and not just inches. Good luck to all of you Polar Bears and stay warm if you can. For me, the SW part of the country has just enough of winter to make it enjoyable. It's just another season, with all of the usual trimmings.I really don't know how all of you in the really cold climates deal with all the winter craziness.
Yeah, I grew up on the FL coast and am always getting shit about snow from old friends there. They tend to forget that their "cool tools" like yours look an awful lot like bulldozers as they attempt to piece their lives back together after each hurricane. It's just another season, with all of the usual trimmings.
What I find odd are those locales that don't have four distinct seasons. That's what I grew up with, and but for my time on active duty, that's what I eagerly returned to.
What works for each of us is the correct answer. ?
P.S. -- We do have access to cool toys that others don't.

I didn't say it wouldnt start. I'm saying a smaller gas engine starts easier and quicker in the cold.My 3.0 would beg to differ, partner

No issues whatsoever in the recent week where we've been seeing temps down to -17° Freedom units. In fact ... I would personally like to offer you $50 in the cryptocurrency of your choosing, if you can find me an example of a JL 3.0 EcoDiesel failing to start due to cold weather![]()
