zero waves, ever, and never purposely pay attention to see if i missed a wave. lot of these things rolling around, and in the south, it's a lot of weirdos driving them.

I wave to all Wranglers, and fellow Gladiators.

I get about a 50 percent return rate on waves. Still going to wave, regardless, lol

Wranglers and Gladiators get the standard deuces from the wheel. It’s actually a little surprising how many do wave back considering how many look like they probably won’t.

That all being said, I’ve had 3 Broncos wave at me in the last 9 months. Every time, I made sure to keep up foreign relations.

I’m all game for trail camaraderie with anything just out wheeling and having a good time, but on pavement, different story.

I usually don’t initiate any more. if I catch the wave, I’ll wave back. But if I wave and they don’t wave back at me, I get sad. ?

I gotta say I shy away from waving to anything that's not a Wrangler and anything that is bone stock because those drivers just don't understand.

This is exactly what I do now. Too many jeep owners around here that just bought a jeep and have no clue.

Maybe it's because I grew up on dirt roads where everybody waves at each other, but why care if they wave back? That's not the point. It's not a kind gesture or friendly thing if you go into it with some pre-upset expectation of reciprocity. Just wave and don't worry so much. You can be kind to other people without getting emotional if they don't wave back I promise. On the trails I wave at everyone. On the road it's wranglers and gladiators as that's the tradition. If an xj or zj or whatever waves and I'm paying attention I'll wave back. It's really not that big of a deal.

It's not really a "Jeep" wave. It's a Wrangler wave.

Own a Wrangler and a 99 Cherokee. Its weird when Wranglers will wave at Wranglers but get into my Cherokee and NOPE.

I've rarely NOT been waived to where I live. I know I have missed a few, not paying attention, so I consider it a wash if not every Jeep waves back to me. I limit my waves to Wranglers and Gladiators, though.

I'm a first time Jeep owner who bought mine in early 2019. My observations are the number of waves have fallen off precipitously over the years. I think it's just reflective of the general state of society.

That said, people with ducks on the dash seem to always wave. Modded Jeeps wave frequently, just not to the extent of the duck people. Unmodified Saharas never wave.
