Jeep Wrangler Willys 2025
Hello, I purchased a 2025 Jeep Wrangler Willys with the 2.0 Turbo Automatic. Been having an issue with a rattle noise when accelerating. Seems to only happen with a slight push on the gas peddle and goes away when cruising or when reaching a higher RPM. It is like a metal rattle which I think might be coming from underneath the Jeep near the drivers side middle. Link to video below for reference. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

UPDATE: while engine on and in N or P, the noise does not happen when reving the engine. However, if I engage the E brake and put it in D and get to about 1-1.5 RPM, I can hear the noise.

I would check the factory skid/brace, make sure to torque them down, from there, check clearance and anything potentially touching the exhaust?

Friend of mine had similar and we found one of the factory braces loose.

I have this as well. I’ll find the post for you. It’s a relatively easy fix. I want to say it’s a bracket holding a wire on the underneath of the engine. The bracket is against some sort of heat shielding material.

Did you ever figure out what’s causing it?

Yes, please send me the video and where the bracket is so I can check it out. Thank you.

So I saw on another thread and the help from a fellow forum member to checkout the shifter cable I think tis called. There is 2 cables coming out from around the underneath middle of the Jeep. They are braced by metal clamps and rubber insulation stoppers. Please see pic below as I circled the part that was causing the rattle. I ended tugging on those cables and it sounded like the rattler I was hearing. So I ended up up pulling the that rubber stopper out some from the brace and tried tugging or flicking it again and noise stopped. Took it for a test drive and rattle was gone. So hopefully it stays gone and I hope this will help anyone with a similar rattler. For reference, I also posted a link below to the video I made with the rattle..

I'd say heatshield and/or mount for shield, especially more likely with turbo and all the associated exhaust/turbo shields. Mounts/bolts of shielding not tight, cracked shielding, something like the wire and bracket mentioned in the post above. Good luck and let us know.
