>3) got the alpine system with 8.4" the sound is ridiculously horrible, anyone know of any options for that to help get some quality sound, without replacing amps, receivers etc

Have you tried copying music to a USB stick and playing it that way? If you have any CD's you can convert them to .flac files, as they sound much better than .mp3 . This is what I do and the sound is amazing compared to SXM which is heavily compressed.

Yah thanks, so i realized the sound system is actually pretty good and its xm radio that was horrible. Ive always had a sound system in every car ever since the early 90s, was expecting custom quality as i should, but now i realize if i play music through phone, or anything else other than xm it sounds mint

Glad you got the alpine figured out. I think mine sounds awesome but my prior was a JK with a basic stereo and it was not good.

Rust proofing questions... Canada is probably worse than the Midwest. and I'm not what they call the rust belt area. But I was concerned with this a little. Mostly because I want to drive this JL for a long time. The spray films everyone recommended are supposedly the way to go. There are some decent youtube vids on it. However, it has to be applied every single year. Its easiest to apply if you have a lift. It wasn't exactly what I was going for. Before winter while it was new, i spent several hours crawling around under and cleaning up welds and frame marks and covering with a semi-flat chassis enamel. Honestly, I'd rather just do that each year. I haven't seen a ton of salt yet this year but so far so good. My JK frame was getting rusty a couple months into the winter so I think it was worth it.

"Rust Cop" by Carwell is applied annually, has a warranty, and is used by UPS, Bluebird Bus, among others, for their fleets of vehicles. I use it, otherwise vehicle will be ruined in 10 years up here in the Salt Belt

Great video on testing undercoating products. Probably some flaws but most of these videos are well done IMO

I got krown rustproofing done now, $140.00 and they warranty it so thats good. Just womdering now if mud flaps would do any justice towards rust or if they just a waste of money

True enough thats probably what i should do. Here in canada salt, wet roads, and slushy roads are a daily thing. Goes on all winter and just tears old cars, and unprotected surfaces apart

For minor underbody scratches I use Rustoleum Rust Reformer. It stops the spread of rust. I use the spray can version. It takes less than 5 minutes to touch up scratches. I tested it on a steel bench that sits on a western-facing porch in Oklahoma and it has lasted more than three years. It is a small porch so the bench gets wet in the rain. I use it everywhere now.

Probably help a little around the splash area but most importantly it would help with rock chips around the door hinges and side of vehicle.

Congrats on your new Jeep! Others have you covered on your questions, so I won’t chime in. I basically wanted to say , I appreciate the way you went about asking your questions. Very controlled, not freaking out calling it a piece of shit, and willing to address some of the issues yourself. Good job brother! Enjoy.....:)
I agree, good job. Let us know when you get the bugs worked out of that piece of shit .:turkey: ;)

I believe that the issue's you are dealing are related to Union Labor.
