I'll wait 3 years for the aftermarket parts to catch up. You have to add a lift and larger tires!

The ebike market is extremely hot right now. Example provided by the ridiculous pricing of Jeep ebike. However, most of us with "Jeep mechanical skills" could easily build our own.

I've built 2 ebikes for my wife and I by rescuing older bikes off Craigslist and then adding hub motors with controllers off ebay. We have been enjoying them trouble free for over 4 years.

watch out for a recall on the steering issue.
The wandering issue or death wobble? Can't I just push the fuses in and put a big asss steering damper on it and more caster in it to fix all of it?

P.S. I hear the new hire Jeep welders start out on the E-bike line first. Don't buy the first model year.

Wall-E was very prophetic... why should anyone want to exercise while mountain biking? This trend makes me sad.

I mostly agree. I do a lot of cycling, and to me the only reasons to have an e-bike are for commuting to and from work, if you have a cargo bike (and actually use it to carry cargo), or if you are for some reason unable to ride a regular bike (age, injury, health issues). But that's just my opinion.

Thank you for providing this comment. There are many reasons why people ride ebikes. I own and ride both regular and ebike for various reasons.

My wife's health does not allow her to go on long strenuous bike rides. However the ebike gives her the opportunity to join me on these long rides. I love my wife and enjoy spending as much time as I can with her.

Of course, I also have an old school mountain bike to go riding with friends.

Exactly what I'm talking about. Good for you both. BTW, where in OC are you? I grew up there. Went to UCI for undergrad.

And look..they'll be available in 18,180 years. (Probably sooner than the Bronco.)

This whole bronco thing has gone on so long now that I pretty much don't even care what it looks like or it's options. It's not gonna be taking the place of my Jeep. Maybe if they pay me I would!

We're in Trabuco Canyon. This used to be the wilderness on the fringe of OC. However that has changed with all the housing developments getting closer and closer.

It may be time for a move.

Who is Buying all these E-Bikes. I've seen stores popping up all over LA so People are buying them. In the last 2-3 years I've only seen 2 being ridden. I feel like people are buying them so they can tell people at the office they have one
