Jeep Tracking Driving Behavior Now

Just saw this in my Jeep app travel history. The only reasons they'd want to track this is to use it to deny you warranty repair, and to sell to your insurance company. We need a good howto on disabling the telemetry without breaking features.

You can start by disconnecting this power plug…

I found out that it will initially mess with the maps on your phone because it is trying to relay gps coordinates. After a few days, that stops and you can use car play without issue. SiriusXM radio won’t work, but you can use the app on your phone.

Where in the warranty does it say we have to drive a certain way- disclaimer, I'm not reading it! Also, pretty sure it is illegal to sell that info without our consent. I'd prefer to truly know what it's for before inconveniencing myself and disabling features.

I don't drive the Jeep hard at all, but it seems to think I hard turn and hard accelerate everywhere. Jeep is absolutely using this to screw their own customers.

Because this is the telematics module, not the nav.

Which nav were you using? I drive like an 80 year old lady that's falling asleep with a cat in her lap and I'm curious if it'd tag me or if you drive harder than you think you do.

Depends on where I'm going, sometimes I use the built-in nav, sometimes I use CarPlay. Either way, I'm a pretty tame driver on the road.
