Don’t know if anyone read the story that was put out with an interview with the actual owner of the Jeep. Apparently it was he and his brother that decided to go for a drive at night. His brother driving and didn’t realize where exactly they were until too late. And had already crossed it once then backed up in reverse and that’s when they got stuck.
If true, they are lucky to be alive.

Between the wind, the different languages, the background
it looks like the Dakar rally in another country.

Tongue in cheek, I suggest . . . Pick a side, tip it over, and let the insurance company deal with it.
Don't be surprised if the off road nature of this problem, policy language notwithstanding, finds "Jake at State Farm" less than willing to pay.

The event causes me to have mixed emotions. While it shows how giving the Wrangler community can be to help out someone, even at risk of danger to themselves during the extracation--which could have gone sideways (no pun intended), and while we've all done really stupid things at times in our lives, should we really be rewarding this kind of driving by recovering the stranded rig?

As said, the driver and his occupant are super fortunate to not only be alive, but not out a rig given the generosity of others.

I feel like this is what the driver needs...

You’ll have an admirer (pictured below) who’ll appreciate it greatly if you can sort this out...
