I think average mileage sits around 12k a year. divide by 52 weeks - 230 a week, 5 day work week - 46miles a day.Vast majority of people don't drive more than 20 miles or so a day. It is the perfect range for an around the town jeep. If you need to go further then you obviously have the gas engine.
I own a 392XR that I daily drive. I rarely drive more than 20 miles a day. I love my 392, but if Jeep offered a 4XE performance version where the 0 to 60 was similar to my 392, I'd be on it in a heart beat as it would save me a ton on gas but still keep all the acceleration giggles.
Electric is far superior to ICE in practically ever measure of performance except sound and range. However, the range is really not an issue for 99% of people in reality because they rarely ever drive outside of the usable range.
I do agree that I don't like govt mandates but that is another topic. Most people who experience electric usually will prefer electric. ICE feels downright antiquated by comparison.
I do more like 22k and my wife does about 14k.
