Bingo.

I think a lot of people are forgetting that for something like 13 states they don't even keep a gas Jeep on the lot.
Yeah, the inventory of wranglers at my local PA Dealer is comically large, and they are all 4XE's, and they just sit there, and keep stacking up. They resorted to renting space on the private used car lot across the street to store them.

Through Chrysler or private financing? That’s an unbelievable rate these days.
Ya, even through credit unions around me, the best I'm seeing is 5% or more.
We took a slightly higher rate for better manufacturer incentives. In 90days, we an refi. From what the Fed said today (3 rate drops this year), maybe rates will start edging down a bit by then.

As long as we never see 0% again... That is such a farce and it's really not good.

Well that explains 4xe sales if it's the only thing you can buy then of course that's what you're going to end up with and sales are going to look even better.
Enthusiasts like us order what we want, non enthusiasts not so much and buy off the lot. They have no ICE available for test drives. The Ford dealer across the street does have ICE Broncos - when they can keep them in stock due to increased sales since the Wrangler ICE ban. The CDJR and Ford dealerships have the same owner so the Jeep people have knowledge and no reason to lie. (They called and sent me across to Ford for warranty paint touch up on my GC when new). Toyota next door has ICE 4R’s available for test drives and sales also.
Edit- 4xe sales up from prior to ban but total Wrangler sales well down according to Jeep employees.

Jeeps are easy to order exactly how you want them. Why would someone buy something they "didn't want and didn't ask for"?
I never have. ?‍♂
I think a lot of people, including me, buy off the lot. The average buyer isn't looking for a 4xe but some salesman says it's here, it's a hybrid, best of both worlds, and they make a sale.

Seriously, I would love to get my hands on a diesel JT so I didn’t put so many miles on my current diesel JLUR, saving that for trails. I love the ED engine. But the costs are ridiculous right now even I though I would get a decent rate. I’ve also seriously thought about getting a low cost lease on a 4xE just for commuting purposes for same reason and I can still drive a Jeep everyday around town.

i wish i would have known about ordering one and getting under msrp back when i bought mine. oh well, i did get a great deal on it. i do agree the majority of people will just buy off the lot. and im sure the salesdick tells them that they can customer order one but theyre taking a loooooong time. "you may end up having to wait like 8 or 9 months.....but we can certainly do that for you if you like...."

i see a lot of 4Xe rubicons where i live. hybrids and EVs are everywhere around here. tesla model 3 are the new civics. still a ton of them sitting on the lots though. its possible that most who were planning to get one have, like teslas. i think ive seen ONE 4Xe out on the trails, though i know some guys here do wheel them. ive seen more hemi swapped wranglers than 4Xes on the trail lol

Ventura Crown has 2022 Gladiators market under MSRP and $7,000 worth of accessories. These dealerships are literally fighting the manufacturer in getting these off their lot. If Jeep lowers the price even further. The dealership marks up the accessories even more.

Dealerships are literally killing their brand.
Are you thinking that two year old Gladiators should be selling for MSRP, especially when many potential buyers are waiting for the 2024 Wrangler updates to be applied?

No one buys cars dead of winter unless you NEED one, everyone gets a new car itch come spring.
I'm sure all that inventory will be gone once people can roll down windows.....

By stelantis rule in PA, and a few other states, if their vehicle has a hybrid version that is the only vehicle they're allowed to keep on the dealership lots. I end up having to go to Delaware to even see a non 4xe Jeep. Ended up buying one from the dealership in Delaware because the only way to get a non-4XE was to order if I wanted to buy it in PA.

When I ordered my Jeep in November my dealer only had 4 Jeeps on the lot. I would assume because of the strike. Now they have around 50. And they built a new building and separated Jeep from the Chrysler/Dodge building.
Same thing here on the Cape, new showroom and huge inventory
