I saw that, but if has no bearing on your bumpstop theory if you have the long bumpstops, and if you would have done more research you would know that there is no such thing as just Rubicon springs, and there are different springs for almost every build based on weight, for instance, I do not have a Rubicon and there are Rubicons that have the same springs I have in my non-rubicon and have more height because of their build. Top, bumpers, tow package, additional electronics can all make the weight and springs vary.

The fact that an XR has longer bumpstops has nothing to do with what springs you have. Especially since other XR owners have made the same complaint about them having only an inch of space.

Now if you were to measure your bumpstops and take a pic with a measuring tape so we could verify the length of them to prove that they are not the shorter standard Rubicon stops you would prove to us that you did in fact get a fake XR.
Look up the spring numbers I posted. The ones on it are not listed for the recon edition. Check the other springs I listed for 1 1/2 inches lift , it states recon model. God I am tired of you people always trying to prove me wrong. Maybe the other people with the long bump stops got screwed also, they just don’t know it yet.

Obviously Jeep hasn’t screwed you over yet. On August 7, 2022 I went to the Jeep website and built the specific Jeep I wanted to see if it was feasible. The extreme recon package read, 35 inch tires, 1 1/2 inches of lift with corresponding front suspension parts, upgraded front axle, tail gate stiffener and fender extensions. On August 8, 2022, I went to the dealer and ordered my new JL. A little after ordering it, the price went up $6000. Jeep decided to start deleting parts after that,
engine cover, insulation panels on the roof and who knows what else. After driving off road and having a harsh ride, I looked at the bump stops on the front axle. They are 1 inch away from the front axle to restrict the upward movement of tires so it doesn’t hit the fenders. After investigating, what I actually got was a stock Rubicon with 35 inch tires and bump stops 1 inch away from the front axle to restrict upward movement of the tires so they don’t hit the fenders. I looked up the part numbers of the springs for a stock Rubicon, and that is what is on my jeep. Besides that, the vent cap for the transfer case is on top of the top of the transfer case not a hose running to the back of the intake manifold. It measures out at 27 inches not the 33.6 water fording height Jeep claims. When I brought all this to Jeeps attention, their response was that’s how it is supposed to be. It has been to the dealer twice and they won’t fix it. Jeep doesn’t care.
When FCA was trying to sell Chrysler as a whole , Chevrolet was negotiating hard to purchase just Jeep. I heard some else mention that foreign companies were also trying for just Jeep. FCA wanted to sell Chrysler as a whole. In steps Stellantis. They are probably tired of complaints about Jeep refusing to do warranty work. Jeep knows their time is limited and are trying to build as many vehicles as they can and make as much money as they can before that day comes, and it is coming.
I understand Jeep has the right to make changes without notice on stock order vehicles. They lose that right on a special order vehicle. I should been notified. If you plan on trying to defend Jeep to me do not respond.
I have a 22 Rubicon XR that I also custom ordered in Oct 21. By your reasoning on options above you definitely were unaware what you were ordering and what you got.
- XR have longer bumpstops to protect the fenders from bigger tires. A ordinary Rubicon does NOT have these.
- the hardtop insulation is and always has been an option you had to order, not standard equipment
- the engine cover is a no brainer, it’s a piece of crap and not needed … I was aware of this delete when I ordered in Oct 2021. Apparently you need a better salesman that knows what’s going on.

We'll stop trying when you start actually listening. I literally just told you that springs are not necessarily specific to each model (I believe this is excluding the 392 and diesel as they weigh considerably more) and you respond with some drivel about specific springs.

You can choose to listen, or you can continue to not. I don't really care, but I spent 3+ months on this forum and other places reading up on springs when I first got my Jeep attempting to learn all I could so I could choose the correct ones for my exact Jeep to get the level of lift I want, but you obviously have spent the same amount of time or more to gain your vast knowledge and put me in my place. I bow to your obviously correct assumptions despite others seemingly correct arguments and your lack of producing any proof that has been requested.

I hope there is some happy Jeep'n in your future, but remember it's not Jeep'n in a Bronco. (I hear they are delivered 100% correct)

Apparently you think you know everything. I did order the roof insulation. It is all there except 3 pieces above the cross over bar on the roll bar in back. Jeep got so many complaints, they now paint those 3 spaces black so you won’t notice. Your comment on the engine cover is bull shit because it was not deleted until November 11, 2022. When I complained about it, they gave me their bulletin. I know exactly what I ordered. On August 7, 2022 I went on Jeep’s website and built the Jeep I wanted to find out the cost. The Extreme Recon Package stated 35 inch tires with 1 1/2 inches of lift with corresponding suspension parts, upgraded Dana 44 front axle, tailgate stiffener and fender extensions. They also said you had to get the 3.6 e torque engine, 8 speed automatic transmission and 4:56 gearing. On August 8, 2023, I went to the dealer and ordered exactly that.

It must be noted that there was a Rubicon Recon package 2020-21 that came with all ordinary Rubicon Suspension. It was a decal package. This Recon should NOT be confused with the Xtreme Recon which is a totally different animal.
All JL Wrangler springs are assigned by options and motor size, not by model. When searching spring part numbers they will all say they will fit a Rubicon no matter what the part number is. The Xtreme Recon springs also have their own line of springs dependent on the options.

It states right at the top of the page 2020 to 2023. Mr. Know it all.

Another know it all with nothing to back up what they are saying. Look up the spring numbers. The Recon ones say right at the top of the page 2020 to 2023

This was over a year ago and Jeep raised the price because they could. Remember when car prices skyrocketed, even used cars. Price went up merely because of scarcity alone.

Lol my 2022 built in Jan 2022 , 3.6 has NO engine cover none of the 22 models did.
The 2022 models did come with engine covers, the dealer must have forgot to put yours back on. The engine covers were deleted on November 11 2022.

Alright Mr “know it all” they didn’t start producing the Xtreme Recon until late model year 2021. The Xtreme Recon is NOT the same as the regular Recon from 2020-2021. Unless it states Xtreme Recon they are not the same springs. I did my research long before you and have owned and been changing springs on JLs since 2018.

I’ve been working on cars before you were glimmer in your daddy’s eyes.

The 2022 models did come with engine covers, the dealer must have forgot to put yours back on. The engine covers were deleted on November 11 2022.
Lol you are comical. No my dealer didn’t forget to put the cover on. None of the 2022 had covers. Not a single one on the dealer lot had one and as I said I knew about it before I took a Delivery. If you do a search on here you will likely find the discussion that dates back to December 2021-2022.
