I would like to think there's darn good reasons for certain designs. Yes - could be due to cost savings, or part commonization.

In this case, it may have something to do with the ability for the Wrangler's design to be robust to open weather conditions - in this case rain. Having these in a vertical orientation may aid in the goal of keeping water out of switches/connections
I dont know how to say this without sounding bad..... ok..... the whole push pull is fine with me.... i just think....
The finger hole could've been bigger so your finger could fit better.
Im done yall. I cant. From bidets to larger holes... i gotta stop.

Little piece of black Velcro stuck to back of each switch with an extra 1/4-1/2” sticking out. Kinda makes a flap to pull up on ?‍♂

Just so you know, this is offensive, really. You're basically talking down to everyone on this forum.

Be yourself, post your thread, but don't belittle everyone. "Buffering" your question is on you, and shows your lack of respect for yourself and others.
To be so fragile a person, something in the water in the PNW.

Fit doors from a base model Sport, with manual wind up windows.
You might even find an owner with the same colour Sport that will do a straight swap for the troublesome electric windows.
Problem solved. :like:

More importantly, how does she put on clothes?

As far as the switches, I think the best balance of form and function would be to use some of the flat black plastic blade style switches I used to have in an old Freightliner. Four of those sticking out of a custom panel would actually look okay, and they wouldn't stick out too far.

It would be a gigantic pain in the ass to make the panel and wire these things to the factory harness, and I have no idea if they still sell the switches I'm thinking about. Trucks got away from that style of switches about 15 years ago.

I'll leave the idea here, but I could pick it up and dive in if there is serious interest.
Lost me at gigantic pain... gotta admit... let's pulllll it on back to duct tape and take a few steps forward not going past the splicing stage.... thank you.... thank you....

Use heat shrink tubing over the switch, cut long so there's enough to grab to work the switch. You could also use heat shrink tubing to attach a short dowel or other material to extend the switch.
I would not use the heat shrink tubing with glue while experimenting as it is difficult to remove.
Well darn.. i have all that right under my engine winch.
Sorry couldnt resist... first i think i will try this method with silicone finger cover thingys and see what happens...
