Was wondering what can be done if Jeep dealer doesn’t fix my rattle problem in dash/steering column? The Jeep is going in for the fifth time for the same issue. They did hear it once and I think after that they just quit trying. They looked it over and heard the sound but couldn’t figure it out. I did buy the Jeep used. But it is still under warranty. It has around 15000 miles so in my opinion it shouldn’t have rattle noise in dash/steering column. I have posted on my thread a video of it. It isn’t the actuator for vents.
What if they don’t fix it. What can I do? If I eventually want to sale it the rattle is going to hurt the value. So I would like it fixed.
I have taken a video every morning, on my way to work, of it making the sound since I last took it in to dealership.

Take the plastic of the column and see if it still rattles, if so, see if you can locate the rattle by holding various parts still while driving (on a closed course : legally speaking)
I had a rattle in my JK, took the lower dash panels out and steering column cover, drove up a dirt road and just kept feeling around (with one hand, obviously) turned out being the steering column tilt adjustment lever was vibrating against another component.
In all honesty though, Jeeps rattle and squeak by nature, I hate to say it but it’s a Jeep thing. You fix one noise two more will take its place, but happy hunting.
