I have a 2019 JLU 2.0 with 50k miles on it. Sometimes, randomly, it will “lose power” or fail to shift gears resulting in a lugging of the vehicle, and can no longer accelerate. There are no check engine lights on the dash. Took it to the dealer once after it happened and they couldn’t do anything because there were no codes to check and they couldn’t re-create the problem - because it appears to be at random. I attached 2 videos. One on the highway and one at slow speed where it will not shift or accelerate properly. Anyone have ideas?

Sounds to me more like a turbo boost problem.

BTW - using the buttons on the steering wheel, you can display the transmission gear on the instrument panel. You might want to do that to see if the transmission is in the right gear when it happens.

I don’t know how well the playback was on the videos I attached. But I do have that turned on. Not sure what you mean by the “right gear” when it happens. For example I was in 2nd when trying to accelerate around 20mph. So, it isn’t stuck in say 6th at that speed. If that’s what you meant. Thanks

Right. If you feel a “sudden loss of power,” the transmission presumably is shifting to a gear that is too high.

I still think it sounds more like a turbo boost issue, though.
