Is there a way to install the all weather floor matt without removing the drain plug under the carpet? Like can I cut off the part that sticks down ans the put a second drain plug in the hole of the matt?

I have the Mopar mats installed without cutting them(plugs still in floor, carpet not cut & 2 extra plugs in mats). They stick up a tad, but it is barely noticeable. In fact I don't notice it now, at all.
Cool, I was thinking of just getting the defective old part number ones ending in C vs. D. Then just not using the drain connection.

I havnt cut the plugs off mine or plugged them into the body either. I dont even notice the small bump they create. If you dont want the plugs installed, dont even bother.

What was defective?
The part that plugs into the drain doesn't seal and allows water to enter. They redesigned it...so new part # ones end in D vs. old ones with C

Interesting! Is there a swap process? I had purchased a pair back in January

I have the same set up with no issues at all.

So I got some cheap on amazon...I thought they'd send the old version, but they actually sent the new one.

This utility saw took those drain bumps off the matts pretty quick. Cut them off and just put some JK drain plugs from Amazon into the drain hole of the matts
