I love the idea of the Sky Touch and not having to store pieces or go through folding a top down. Now that some of these have been out a little while I do have a couple of questions for those lucky enough to have them.
Always wondered how leak resistant it was in a downpour and if there is a manual release if the motor was to fail in the open position? Is there a release pin you can pull and manually slide it shut?
I've had mine for just over a month and I love it. I've driven in the unusual hard rains that we've had for weeks now, and I took it through a touchless car wash no leaks at all. I don't know about any manual over ride system though.

I've dreamt of owning a wrangler since I was a teenager (decades ago) because I loved the open feel, especially the back of the car which differentiated it from a sunroof. I'm so torn because the convenience is so wonderful but that back portion stays on making it feel more like a double sunroof. What are current owners' feelings about this?
I’ve had the power top for 4 months now and there’s absolutely no way I would trade it. At first I kind of felt like you, it doesn’t look as good at a hard top with the roof off. And I still feel that way, they look a little weird.

But here’s the thing, I go topless everyday. Nearly every time I get in the Jeep. Sometimes I go back and forth several times during the same trip as the conditions change. If I had a hard top I do t know if I would have removed it yet due to the inconvenience. If you want open air, this is as good as it gets.

PS- You can’t tell from the seats that the trunk isn’t open. There’s virtually no difference when driving.

Personally, I love the Sky One-Touch. It gives me a lot of flexibility, allowing me to go from open air feel to closed top easily. I agree that the totally removed top looks better and if I were choosing just for looks, I'd go that way, but I don't have a lot of room or time to remove the top and store it. With the one-touch, I can react to weather changes here in Hawaii when the sun is shining on one half of the island but raining on the other. I have no regrets with the top. It may look a little "odd" as something new to the wrangler, but it works great for me.

Sky One Touch question. Just got a 2019 Moab with Sky One Touch. Live in Florida and I love the top, but it gets incredibly hot inside.
Is there anything out there to decrease the heat retention inside? Haven't seen any comments anywhere about the heat.

Thanks!~

Dude, that looks awesome! I have the same but in white and haven’t had the time to take off the doors. Where did you get those doors from? They look really nice.

The doors can be had here, they also have a version for the JK that's a bit less expensive.
These are very solidly made and the mirrors are stellar! Had to chase the threads on the pins to get them to thread the factory door retainer nuts and the adjustment of the locks is a bit tricky. Overall, excellent price and decent enough quality.

This may sound silly but to add to the back windows out

I have a hard top, but figured some sky touch people may do this. Can you drive with the tail window open in the up position. Obviously slow on a beach is fine, I’m just wondering if it’s possible at any regular road speed

Not in a JL but in my JKU I have driven with rear window up on the highway numerous times. Dog loves it. Just take it slow over bumps and you will be fine.

We really like ours. Wife loves it and it’s “her” car. She is someone who already would drive to work with a coat, scarf and gloves on in the spring with the panels open on our JK (and before on the LJ and TJ that with the top down). Now, the time we can drive with the top open are multiplied since you can easily close it at any time. Yes, there is the small downside of not being able to totally have the top off, but that is definitely offset by the other times.
