I am wondering if anyone attempted an in-cabin air compressor install? I am aware of the ARB dual-compressor mounting option, but it is more of an investment than I am willing to make.

I was thinking of mounting the VIAIR 450P on the passenger side fender in the cargo area of my JLUR, and power it via the 40amp line of one of the AUX switches. I do not have the subwoover, so this is an option.

Looking forward to your thoughts and comments :)

I got the single 12v ARB for Xmas. I’ve got the JLUR w Aux package. I mounted under the rear passenger seat... but when I lower the seats it gets smashed so I’ll prob move it under the passenger front seat. I had a really tough time wiring it since the directions don’t assume the factory Aux package that Jeep has now. Totally screwed it up..not beyond repair but I got rid of a ton of wires that it came with to get it working.. but I cut the pressure switch wires thinking I didn’t need them. Wel... I do. And now gotta figure out how to reinstall them... Good luck.

I’ve had arb and viair compressors. My last rig had a power tank to run the air lockers and I also had a viair mounted in the engine compartment. If anyone is getting an arb with hopes of powering air lockers down the road, do yourself a favor and mount it outside of the cab somewhere. It will get very annoying very quickly. I’ve had an arb under the hood for my air lockers as well.
