I bought my JLU Willys Edition 2.0L with Technology, Safety and Advanced Safety packages 16 months and 12k miles ago. Never imagined or had so much fun with any ride in my life. Drove to Moab last September and did a short offroad in Arches before tackling Shafer Canyon Road, a three-hour downhill drive that was exciting and too much fun. (It would have been even better had I aired down, but I was a newbie.) I think I’ve finished the mods, with the possibility of adding Bilstein shocks to offset the 350+ pounds of weight I’ve added – Ace Rock Sliders, Smittybilt Gen 2 SRC steel bumpers and X20 winch. Won’t be doing a lift but might put slightly larger tires on. I’m no rock crawler, but the Willys Edition was the perfect combination of looks and capabilities to go offroad. And the Forum has guided me in the build. In answer to the many discussions I’ve seen, no, the Firestone Destinations are not too noisy, even on the 14 hour drive each way from Northern California to Moab. Upgraded the sound on the Uconnect 4 with 7-inch display with Alpine Full Sound System Upgrade. Use a BlackVue LTE Dash Cam, and am amazed at the image quality. I have had a good experience with the local dealer’s service department, and no problems with the vehicle. Mostly, I love my Willys and plan to keep it a long time.
