2021 Jeep Wrangler JLU Willys Edition
I bought my JLU Willys Edition 2.0L with Technology, Safety and Advanced Safety packages 16 months and 12k miles ago. Never imagined or had so much fun with any ride in my life. Drove to Moab last September and did a short offroad in Arches before tackling Shafer Canyon Road, a three-hour downhill drive that was exciting and too much fun. (It would have been even better had I aired down, but I was a newbie.) I think I’ve finished the mods, with the possibility of adding Bilstein shocks to offset the 350+ pounds of weight I’ve added – Ace Rock Sliders, Smittybilt Gen 2 SRC steel bumpers and X20 winch. Won’t be doing a lift but might put slightly larger tires on. I’m no rock crawler, but the Willys Edition was the perfect combination of looks and capabilities to go offroad. And the Forum has guided me in the build. In answer to the many discussions I’ve seen, no, the Firestone Destinations are not too noisy, even on the 14 hour drive each way from Northern California to Moab. Upgraded the sound on the Uconnect 4 with 7-inch display with Alpine Full Sound System Upgrade. Use a BlackVue LTE Dash Cam, and am amazed at the image quality. I have had a good experience with the local dealer’s service department, and no problems with the vehicle. Mostly, I love my Willys and plan to keep it a long time.

Done? Seriously??? Is anyone ever really "done" modding a Jeep? Not likely.

Something will come along that will turn your head and empty your pocket.
100%. If it's not something you see that you want to add, it will be something your jeep does or doesn't do that you want to change. Maybe you'll decide the Rubicon trail is just too close not to do it at least once? Maybe you'll go back out to Moab and decide you want a little more clearance. Maybe you'll start exploring desert trails and decide you want better shocks? Maybe you'll want more storage options? It's a Jeep, there's no such thing as done. We just added a tailgate table after our last camping trip 48k miles and dozens of trips in to ownership. The mods will never end.

Okay, you're right. After each mod, I just want to appreciate it for a few days. Then it starts all over again, I see something on the Forum or elsewhere, and find myself thinking, "That will a good add on, and the next thing I know, someone is shipping me something new. Late yesterday, I added the Cowl Body Armor to finish the exterior bad ass look. So for a few minutes, I was just looking at it, thinking it's time for good update photos, so off I went. Today, I feel like I'm finished. Tomorrow is another day.

Which model Blackvue are you using? I'm contemplating between the 750 and the 900. Not really interested in having it on when it's parked. At least at home.

I got the 900X because it is very compact and has such a great camera. The additional LTE module is a full hotspot supporting up to six devices. If I had it to do over, I would definitely get the 750 because it has an LTE module built in. It's a wee bit larger than the 900X, but if connectivity is important, I'd go with the 750.

Thanks for your feedback! I'm more interested in image quality so the 900X might be on my future. Just wish it wasn't so expensive!
