is it normal if the 3.6 to have a bit of vibration at idle? My Jeep is a 2018 with 30k and I’ve noticed it’s got a bit of a vibration at idle. I’ve already had the vibration/ ac fan flash done already. Wondering if I should worry or just chalk it up to a Jeep thing.

I don't have any vibration at idle beyond normal combustion harmonics, so no it's not normal. Check stuff like the accessory drive belt system since its easy to see and not unusual to have a belt issue at 30K miles. Check the pulleys too. Basically check the easy stuff first.

Cooling fans can be another possibility. Might be harder to figure that out though.

Just the first things I can think of off the top of my head.

V-6’s are out of balance by their very nature.

I'm dealing with the same issue and have had this for a couple months now starting just short of 60k miles (so, honestly, mechanical issues aren't a shocker here). It happened about a month after I replaced my rear driveshaft and I originally thought that perhaps the pinion angle was off and that was causing the vibes. I pulled the DS as a process of elimination and test drove in 4HI and noticed the vibration was even worse when sitting at an intersection. Putting the Jeep into park or neutral mostly eliminated it.

It's not violent or scary or anything, but certainly there, but I haven't been able to pinpoint where it's coming from. Spark plugs are fine, motor mounts look good, and nothing appears to be loose. However, checking the belts and pulleys is certainly a good idea.

i did notice today it’s only in gear, when it park it’s got no vibes. I wanted to clarify this is only stationary. When driving she runs like a champ.

Starting to question if it’s just because the trans is cold and it’s putting more load on the engine
