Definitely not the same--the 2xx number is the diameter of the ring gear in millimeters.

That’s a D35. Aka M200.

This is a D44 (aka M220)- note the rectangle that the fill plug exists on is larger:

Edit: I should clarify that what we commonly refer to as D35 or M200 and D44 or M220 aren’t technically the same axles. The M___ axles were released with the JL.

This is a better picture. The original looked to me like the bottom of the housing was flat and the left side might have been straight.

Well, as you can see it has a fill plug but I do not know if it has a drain plug or if the cover has to come off to be removed. It's the rainy season here now and I'm getting a bit old to crawl under it and check. The next oil change, I will try to remember to look.

Yes i found out this morning when i was going to service diffs. None of diffs has drain plug and i have a 2022 sports.
