Word. Ignore the leak and let it overheat. Boom new engine under warranty. Dealers hate this one easy trick!

I'm 99% sure the radiator is covered under powertrain. Anything that could directly harm the powertrain like this is usally covered. Same with oil leaks.
Radiator is definitely not covered.

I asked that recently on this forum or the gladiator forum and was told the radiator is not under the power train warranty. Its under the 3/36.
The warranty is an explicit coverage contract, it only covers exactly what it says it covers.

Son of a bitch, you're right. That's insane to me. I swear these used to be covered when I was doing grand cherokee radiators daily.

This is a 21 with 45k on it, so under powertrain but not basic.
I know, it’s crazy. Mine went out when I was working on a weekend, pulled up to an auction site and steam rolled out from under hood. Barely 50k on the odometer, 3 years and a few months into ownership. Good thing they’re cheap.

If you smell antifreeze and don’t see a leak in a Jeep around 4 or 5 years old or older then it’s a very high probability that the radiator is leaking. Most likely the drivers side where the plastic sides attach to the aluminum radiator fins. These radiators tend to last about 5 years then start leaking. Most likely the antifreeze is leaking slowly and dries before hitting the ground. Our 2019 Grand Cherokee did it about a year and a half ago and when I started researching I found it’s a common issue with Mopar radiators. I bought a replacement online for about $200 and bought a couple gallons of antifreeze at Walmart, along with watching several YouTube videos on replacement and did it myself. Saved probably $1000.

Over the years, radiators have been a mixed bag for me. I've had them go 10 years and some went 1-2 years before getting a leak. This is from a mixed bag of copper and aluminum-plastic radiators. A 1-2 year old copper radiator is a simple solder job. A leaking aluminum-plastic radiator generally means you're buying a new one. A 1999 GM pickup I had with a couple hundred thousand miles, would lose about a quart of coolant in a few months. It had a very tiny crack in the plastic tank that would only open when under pressure and leak a small amount.
